Arelite Core

Haven't finished it yet, but so far it's a solid RPGMaker game. Adds some innovation to the usual generic JRPG combat system and adds a unique level of customization with the stance system. It's nice that I'm able to customize my characters to whatever situation they're faced with. The plot thus far is interesting enough that I want to finish the game, which is pretty good for someone like me who so often loses interest halfway through. Overall, a gem of an RPGMaker game

Arelite Core is a very decent, well-written casual RPG. This game has just enough unique features to separate it from other RPGs like the Blitz battle mechanic, no MP, stun meters and upgradeable abilities for both striking and parrying. The dialog is well written and grammatically sound. All in all this game is worth playing. 7/10

If you like JRPGs, this one will suit you just fine, but I don't see it winning anyone over to the genre. Where it fixes some areas of frustration, some of them are much, much worse. The main story is a bit unoriginal, but the subplots are cool. The lack of need to grind is replaced by a system in which getting out of combat is difficult. The graphics are nice and the music is awesome, but both need a bit more diversity. Where in one place I have a problem, another popped up. I will say that it obviously shows that Dragon Slumber did this out of love for the games of their childhood rather than solely to cash in on the nostalgia of people who remember when this kind of the game was the best we can do. Will I finish this game? I don't know, probably. My approval of this game is very tentative, maybe wait for it to go on sale first as the price tag does seem a bit steep to me. I've seen some decree this a must have for fans of this genre, but I would classify it more as a "could have." I could have a conversation with someone about this game, but I won't find myself turning conversations to it. A worthy attempt, but to some it will seem just a bit dull. Great SNES-style RPG with a fun combat system and excellent sound track.

Game is good. Go buy it.

This game has a lot of good points to provide people who like rpgs an enjoyable adventure for a really cheap price. The pros 1. Art- really great art for the characters and monsters you will fight throughout the game. 2. Skill system- There is also a robust skill system you can customize and fine-tune for each character as they level up. Characters through status effects and combo mechanics and depending on how you build them can synergize with each other in interesting ways. 2. Price vs value- It's price is really cheap for all the custom art and great gameplay provided. I highly recommend it for a good time to lose yourself in a game. Cons- 1- I can't think of any really bad aspects of the game. 2- Anything bad I can think of would be more subjective like disliking 16 bit art.

It's a pretty generic rpg, if you're into that then I'd get it on sale for cheap.
