Antivirus PROTOCOL

A fairly strong thumbs up for what it is (a 3 hour incremental / throwback arcade game) with some caveats: 1) It's roughly 3 hours to clear. Replayability is going to be eye of the beholder, but it's not like there are alternative builds / endings etc. You'd just have to love the core gameplay enough to replay it, which unlike a lot of incrementals I've seen lately is at least possible. The gameplay is reasonably fun at least for the last half of the game. That said, for most people I'd say buy it on sale because you probably will enjoy it well enough but not replay it. 2) As another commentor noted, it does take a while to really build up speed. Maybe somewhere around level 6-7 (out of 15) it hits a bit of a stride and levels 12-14 are kinda peak experience. 3) It's a bullet hell with a fairly odd twist. Most of the mobs coming at you don't harm you - instead they are visual cover for the 4-5 mob types that do hurt. You want to up mob density to summon the level boss faster, but the flip side is screen clarity is going to drop very low at times esp. if your weap damage is lagging, and as much as skill you're going to be relying on 'feel' and a whole lot of RNG to avoid taking too much damage. The edges of the screen are the most dangerous, but there will be situations where you can't avoid them and you just have to hope one of the dangerous mobs doesn't choose that moment to pop in. If there were minimal screen cover the bad mobs would be quite easy to avoid - it's only when it's harder to see them (whether because of clutter or they are literally spawning from off-screen on top of you when near the edge) that they're a threat. This isn't enough to ruin the experience by any means, but does make this more of like a 3.5 star instead of 4-5 star game imo. It's enjoyable overall, but gets its challenge from a bit of a cheat (exploding my eyeballs til I can't see what's happening).
