Anna's Summer Splash

This game wears its inspirations on their sleeve with pride, and in all fairness I think it earns the right to. The hangoutability of each location can't be understated. Snuggle Bug clearly understands how to create very lived in environments that are large enough to house secrets and fun platforming, while also small enough that you can become very familiar with their layouts. Despite the less than stellar animations, the game plays pretty great. At first I thought the secret levels would be unfair but they're all very short and not overly challenging, managed to beat all of them on my first try. I kind of wish falling off maps wouldn't send you back to the hub, especially in the cruise level, but there's a lot of checkpoints in terms of mission completion so I never felt I was penalized too harshly. Overall, pretty good, I quite liked this one! I look forward to more in the future.
