Reviews
It's giving Palworld x Infinity Nikki vibes. The creature collecting and exploring reminded me a lot of Palworld, while the character designs, outfits and overall presentation gave me much more of an Infinity Nikki feeling. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3802557970 The gameplay itself is not even too bad but also not too exciting. I actually enjoyed running around, exploring and seeing all the different Aniimo more than I expected. But visually, I feel like the game has a bit of an identity problem? Some of the Aniimo have extremely detailed fluffy fur where you can basically see every single strand, but then you put them into the environment and they suddenly look like they belong to a completely different game. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3802578208 Then you have other Aniimo, like the dragon, that almost look plastic-y in comparison. Nothing looks terrible on its own, but everything together just feels a bit inconsistent to me. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3802578081 The dialogue also did not really help. A lot of it feels very generic and lifeless so far and some lines honestly made me stop for a second because they sounded so unnatural and had to send them to my friends to see how they feel about them. One of them was:
"Bloomville, oh yeah... the place where flowers bloom."
I have seen people describe some of the dialogue as AI-like and I can definitely understand why, but I can't say myself if AI was actually used or not. That's for people with more knowledge to decide and uncover. The frustrating part is that I do not even dislike playing it. Movement feels fine to me, exploring is enjoyable enough and collecting the Aniimo is also pretty fun to me. So this is not one of those negative reviews where I hated every second and immediately wanted to uninstall. I actually think there is something fun about it but I also feel like it didn't really hook me. But right now Aniimo feels like it is borrowing a lot from other games and it's hard to find an identity for themselves. The visual direction feels inconsistent, the dialogue lacks depth and personality and the whole presentation feels not really polished. I genuinely wanted to like it more, especially because the basic gameplay is actually pretty enjoyable, but at the moment I just can not recommend it. The opinion itself is still completely mine.

Another chinese slop game, it looks like they made the pokemons using ai, cheap design and boring aah fights. This is nowhere close to Palworld and wont be even in the future. I hate the battlepass, microtransactions system, the characters look so korean. It looks like this game was made for 9yr olds lol. 3/10
GREAT COZY FUN GAME WITH LOTS OF ADORABLE CREATURES AND LOTS OF FUN THINGS TO DO
controller doesn't really work, i cant even move around and i have to spam the buttons to get it to do anything and i cant seem to be able to use keyboard and mouse either but the graphics looks amazing so far
