Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.71/day in the week to Aug 8 → 3.29/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Pros
+ Jodie Comer and David Harbour + Really cool puzzles + Lovecraftian lore, a lot of it + Nice gameplay dynamics, a lot of unique locations for just a 8hr game + Interesting side-characters + Good ammo-management. Each shot counts + Pretty visuals + Nice voice acting
Cons
- Awful perfomance. I did some tweaks from guides to fix stutters on level loads, but still have FPS drops. Not critical, but I can't ignore it - Final fight could be great, but actually it's Player vs Camera/Controls fight. Unfair 2vs1 btw - Achievements is time wasting crap - 2 characters has a tiny difference for the whole game, not worth to play whole game for it Good enough game to recommend. It's very mediocre, BUT it's lovecraft action story-based game, so requirements are lowered. And Jodie Comer in main role, so I can't regret buying/playing it

It's a bit patchworky and glitchy, and the characters tend to get stuck a lot in the scenery, but overall it's a decent game with good visuals, lots of texts and well crafted world.
„Alone in the Dark 2024“ fühlt sich an, als hätte jemand Resident Evil 2 Remake bei Wish bestellt und dann vergessen, warum Alone in the Dark damals überhaupt legendär war. Ich hab „Alone in the Dark 2024“ gespielt und die ganze Zeit das Gefühl gehabt: Das Spiel schämt sich irgendwie dafür, Alone in the Dark zu sein. Atmosphäre? Wirklich stark. Das Haus? Mega.
It's quite different from the original (fortunately with regards to controls), but captures the flair well. The Cthulhu theme runs less deep and takes longer to develop, but subtlety is also a strength. Characters are great, even though the original gentleman Carnby, instead of the stereotypical gum shoe (even though well presented) is missed. The female detective is even better than her original, though. Strong recommendation for fans of the original, still a recommendation for those who don't know it.

However, it's definitely worth it for those who enjoy a good dose of horror and truly mind-bending puzzles!
This is a game that I thought I would hate. And believe me, I tried. I tried very hard to hate it because the Lovecraftian Lore space is so chalk-full of braindead reaches and using the Old Ones as more of a prop to tell some stupid love-story or fanfic. But I couldn't hate this game. This game is the culmination of a bad B movie. Like The Room, the animations are weird, the gameplay is stiff and the combat is abysmal. But that ironically adds to the charm. Strangely enough. When I started playing I found myself disliking a lot of things. But as I continued to play and as things started to unravel, I found myself enjoying it. That is all thanks to the story. The story is gripping and weird, it takes SHARP turns and will leave you with your jaw dropped towards the end. There are so many secrets and little touches and nods to the AITD franchise. I found myself actually wanting to pick up clues and trying to figure out what was going on because the story was just that compelling. It used the lovecraftian mythos perfectly and encapsulated these horrors faithfully in a way that I've not seen in these types of games in a long while. From the start to the end I was entranced with the development of the house and the people within it. The puzzles were engaging and used a non-handholdy approach to underline that it was up to YOU to solve it. Something that is very reminiscent of the older games in the series from DoS-box to the weird resident evil knock off. Either character works as a first-time play. And that is hard to accomplish. And although both have almost the same path, they each add their own unique spin to the events that unfold. Playing a second time and noticing these slight changes made me feel hyper aware of the situation. And even with knowledge of how it all will end, it still carried me forward enough to want to see the different outcomes. Both secret and general endings. This game is a love-letter to the older games of the series as well as a show of appreciation for lovecraft. This isn't like all of the other games that just slap an elder god onto it and masquerade as some high-art fanfic. This is probably the most faithful and concise spiritualization of HP Lovecrafts work that I have ever had to pleasure of engaging with and I am sad that this and a few others are all that we have of this type of media. That is enjoyable at least. 10/10 No notes, nothing required. A perfect game that chooses story over gameplay, and one that actually works with that execution. When the story is so gripping it makes everything else seem like it was added as gratuity. THIS is how that is done. THIS is how you execute it.
