Airport Firefighters - The Simulation is an older game from 2015. It's a venerable 9 years old at the time of this review. It's a console ported first person action adventure game... yeah, I know, it says it's a simulator but that's highly inaccurate. This is more of a linear/on rails adventure game where you negotiate a series of small scenes as part of a (rather awfully written) narrative experience. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. Because this is designed for consoles, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the inferior console gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the console-centric developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for consoles forces upon a game. Once more, console peasants have made gaming worse for everyone. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The game never really caught on with the millions of gamers on Steam, with a very low peak player count close to launch, and then just a handful of players launching this game every couple of days. This is undoubtedly caused by factors such as those raised in this review. It's always helpful with buying decisions to consider how popular and successful the product is, and unfortunately while this did accumulate a few participation trophy reviews, overall, people just aren't using it. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Airport Firefighters - The Simulation has the gamer gouging price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. For comparison, the $10 asking price for this game could get you games like "Europa Universalis IV", "Bioshock Infinite" or "Metro Exodus". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.

I CANT EXTINGUISH ALL THE FIRES IN HEADACHE MISSION
Airport Firefighters – The Simulation, developed by Visual Imagination Software GbR and published by rondomedia GmbH, is a specialized emergency services simulator that places players in the role of an airport fire rescue operative. Rather than focusing on urban firefighting or wildland blazes, the game narrows its scope to one of the most high-risk environments imaginable: active airports filled with jet fuel, aircraft, terminals, and heavy machinery. The premise is immediately compelling. Airport fire crews are tasked with responding to some of the most dangerous and time-sensitive emergencies in modern infrastructure, and the game attempts to capture that intensity through a series of mission-based scenarios. The structure revolves around standalone emergency calls that simulate various airport disasters. Missions include extinguishing engine fires on grounded aircraft, responding to burning terminals, tackling helicopter crashes, and securing cargo plane incidents. Each scenario begins with a briefing before placing the player in control of specialized firefighting vehicles. The emphasis on variety helps prevent the experience from feeling entirely repetitive, as no two emergency layouts are exactly the same. From large exterior runway operations to confined interior spaces filled with smoke, the environments attempt to reflect the diverse challenges of airport rescue work. Driving plays a central role in the gameplay loop. Players operate heavy-duty fire engines designed specifically for airport emergencies, complete with roof-mounted water cannons and high-capacity tanks. Positioning the vehicle correctly becomes crucial, particularly in larger fires where angle and distance determine effectiveness. Once on foot, players can switch to handheld equipment such as hoses and fire extinguishers to tackle interior blazes. The combination of vehicle-based suppression and close-range firefighting provides a sense of operational variety, even if the mechanics themselves remain relatively straightforward. The simulation elements aim for accessibility rather than complexity. Fire behavior is dynamic enough to create urgency, but it does not reach the level of advanced fire propagation systems found in higher-budget titles. Instead, the challenge comes from managing time, prioritizing hotspots, and navigating environments that may be partially obstructed. The game supports both keyboard and controller input, making it approachable for a broad audience. However, the lack of in-depth tutorials or layered systems such as crew management and equipment upgrades can make the experience feel somewhat surface-level for players seeking deeper realism. Visually, Airport Firefighters – The Simulation delivers functional 3D environments without pushing technical boundaries. Aircraft models, terminals, and emergency vehicles are recognizable and serviceable, but they lack fine detail and polish. Smoke and fire effects contribute to atmosphere, though they can sometimes obscure visibility in ways that feel more technical than immersive. The overall presentation aligns with its mid-budget simulation roots, focusing more on conveying scenario structure than delivering cinematic spectacle. Mission pacing varies. Some scenarios provide a satisfying escalation of tension as fires spread and objectives expand, while others can feel methodical and repetitive. Without broader campaign progression or narrative context tying missions together, the experience can lean toward episodic repetition. Nevertheless, for players interested specifically in emergency response simulations, the novelty of airport-based firefighting offers a unique angle rarely explored in mainstream gaming. Community reception has historically reflected this duality. Many appreciate the niche focus and the opportunity to engage with a less commonly depicted profession. Others point to rough edges in mission design, user interface clarity, and overall depth. The game does not attempt to reinvent the simulation genre but instead provides a focused interpretation of airport rescue operations. Ultimately, Airport Firefighters – The Simulation stands as a concept-driven title that finds strength in its unusual subject matter. It captures the basic thrill of responding to high-risk emergencies in a specialized environment, even if it does not fully realize the potential depth of its premise. For players curious about emergency services simulations or looking for a distinctive firefighting setting beyond city streets, it offers a functional and occasionally engaging experience. Those seeking a highly polished or deeply systemic simulator, however, may find its ambitions somewhat restrained by its execution. Rating: 5/10

Feuerwehr Simulator. Möchte ich Das das Eine Fair Besserung Gib. Ich möchte gerne mehr sehen. Danke.
