Air Conflicts: Vietnam

[h1]VIETCOND DLC IS MISSING[/h1] This game is not that bad at all, I kinda liked it, and no, i have no nastalgia here. It is playable on modern systems, but only if you are ready to spend some time altering different graphics setting, and after it is even enjoyble in 80% of a time. Story is here just to move you around and entertain sometime. Also it just basically intoduces you into Vietnam conflict from US side and shows you how bad it is. Game is not that bad as it is shown in reviews, and ofc it is not great, but if you like planes\helicopter, Vietnam and smell of napalm in the morning, I recommend You to try it out.

How to solve Illumination bombs bug ? It's simple, you have to edit the file "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Air Conflicts Vietnam\media\game\campaign\us\mission6\mission6.script" with a Notepad. In the line 739, you have to change "Vehicle 0 SetArmor 1000" to "Vehicle 0 SetArmor 0" (without any "") and save it. Start the game, play the mission, drop the bomb (1 is enough, so long it's on the target) and done. For those interested about the bug, the game devs use an invisible tank ("Vehicle 0") as a target for the illumination bomb. But something went wrong somewhere and this invisible tank seems to have had an invincible armor ("SetArmor 1000") and that's why nothing happens, even if an off-screen voice says "That's a hit" or whatever... So, changing this value to an armor of 0 did the trick =:-) This is the solution that i found on one of community discussions, and i hope this helps you to finish this game.

I liked the first game in the series, did not like the second one, but this one is the worst in the series. I do not recommend it.

Feeling of really flying over the jungle of Vietnam. I play a little arcade but for those who like it, it's too much. Spectacular explosions. One of the good game set in vietnam. Magnificent ambient sound. I recommend.
