The Steam page has no information, I thought it was a realistic game. Turns out it's an Ace Combat slop type game. Even the Itch.io demo was out-dated. There was no YouTube videos under 4 years old. The game-play was ok, but being the opposite of my expectations wasn't my fault, it's the advertising that's miss-leading awful. The positives: Optimization is amazing, I ran 600-800 fps. Wonderful!
[strike] Woah, a review for this game in 2024? [/strike] [strike] The last update was in 2022, with radio silence from the dev since. It's a fun couple of hours, but certainly not worth 20 USD. Take your money to a different early access fly-em-up. If you do buy Aggressor, know that it's quite incomplete, and really only as fun as you can make it. Stay safe. [/strike] EDIT 1/17/26: The game got an update! The core gameplay is the same, but pretty much everything got overhauled. It's still an indie game, and still pretty incomplete, but it's a lot of fun. Maybe not worth 20 bucks, but you'll certainly get your money's worth if you're a fan of Ace Combat/PW
This game has so much potential that I could never in a million years give it a thumbs down. However, I'm refunding it for the time being. I really hope the developers will continue to work on this project.

The dev is back! The game is fun again, however it's still in a very crude shape. Still that won't remove the dumb fun that instant dogfighting is. What is this game? A low poly styled dogfighting sandbox where you can have a p-51 chasing down a bunch of peace makers. Need I say more? Yes, becasue there is a huge caveat. The game is pretty unpolished. The graphics while pretty, have so much bloom, post processing, blur, and shaky cam that you must turn almost everything off. As any one dev indie game, there are some things that clearly were a good idea once that didn't really work out and it's left as is, like the encyclopedia at the main menu. The UI overall is pretty wonky, clicking stuff behind other UI boxes (Happens often during loadout customization), some text being placeholder (Every weapon says 200kg bomb once put in place...). The AI tends to crash into each other, but since the name of the game is 3-10 minute encounters with instant loadtimes it is a non issue (And amusing at times) BUT, the game is so much fun. Like, really. Trying to land A4s on top of peace makers, putting 30 P-51 against 20 bombers, stuff like that is what you are in for. Not a progression based system, not a campaign (Despite the dev being certain that that is the main draw). There's a new mode that makes it so that you spawn in a random aircraft with a random loadout against random oponents, and with a click of a button you reroll the dice. It basically a plane shaped gun-game! I can't recommend the game as of now because it's honestly a tad expensive at the moment for what it offers, and we still don't know what the dev will do.

Great game, just not for me. I love the art style and I wish more games looked like this, but gameplay style is just not for me
