Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 13 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This is one of the best Age of Wonders releases! The factions are compelling and flavourful, and the campaigns are truly cool. I love the dynamic of playing as one ruler across multiple planetary campaigns, each planet having different modifiers and ecosystems. My favourite play-through was as a somewhat Egyptian themed, motorcycle-driving Assembly pharaoh, conquering the wasteland ruins of a former metropolis planet with a gang of scrap cyborgs. I hope to see a newer reincarnation of this, but until then I will continue to play Planetfall!
Decent strategic game with tactical XCOM-esque combat. Enemy AI are able to pump out units and make the game more of a slow slog through mud with combat taking ages in the later phases. Personally not my type of game though I primarily play strategy games.

delicious mash up of hell-divers, xenomorphs, space dwarves, psi fish, dinosaurs, and even furries. you name it. you will have a good time. its got all the sci-fi stuff thrown into a blender and somehow pulls it off.
Kill All Humans
Very similar to AoW4. A slightly worse UI. Both are worth playing and I switch between them based on mood now. This game was much easier to learn due to my experience with AoW4.
Played the game and all its expansions on PS4, even preordered the expansion pass. Been a fan of AoW since the beginning. Out of the entire series, I think this has the tightest gameplay loop and best world building for the various factions. The sector based gameplay mixes up the map exploration and expansion formula enough that it still feels meaningful to do both without it being just dropping new cities everywhere. Unit mods help keep lower tier units interesting and capable into later stages. You usually arent just fielding stacks of t3 and t4s. T4 units are actually pretty rare in most maps. The campaign is really weak compared to earlier entries, but a masterpiece compared to AoW4. Unfortunately the empire mode that is one segment of the game here became the entire game in AoW4. The map generator in PF feels like it has a better understanding of how to generate good maps, which keeps replayability high. I still play AoW3 and PF. AoW2 and SM are my rose colored favorites (although now have aged poorly). The best part of AoW4 is that is makes me appreciate 3 and PF. The best way to experience both 3 and PF is with all expansions, but they're cheap enough now when they go on sale that really anyone who likes 4x turn based combat should consider this as one of the best 4x wargames you can try.
Gameplay, mechanic wise really nice 4x game. Although the victory screen is a bit lackluster. Tactical gameplay is fun, strategicaly gameplay is good
Excellent space themed strategy game from the main Age of Wonders dev team. 8/10
I was excited to play this game. That excitement was pretty much dashed though when it CTD on attempting startup. Oddly enough I have a similar problem with another game from the same developer "Stellaris." In the case of Stellaris that wasn't always the case. Several years back I played it a lot and only recently re-installed it to find that it was having a CTD problem as well. Look, I get it, I'm sure that not everyone is having this issue with these games, not by a long shot. However, from googling I know I am certainly not the only one experiencing these crashes. In comparison, I am also currently playing Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield a ultra high settings - no crashes. Also Pathfinder: Wrath of the righteous (a less graphic intensive game) at full settings. This tells me the "problem" isn't on my end. I am an old school PC gamer. I know that sometimes a little tinkering is required to get things to run just right. However, some of the suggested fixes for both of these games to get them to launch successfully are so arcane and lengthy, that I just don't want to waste my time on a developer that puts out games that won't even launch properly for some players. I refunded the $80+ I spent on the game and DLC.
