Age of Wonders III

This is an amazing game once you figure out the nuances. Truly deep and strategic. Crazy fun!!

Its a fun game.

Excellent game very similar to Heroes of Might and Magic, Spellforce and Warlock: Master of the arcane. It's generally good and engaging if you like the type of game where you have a bunch of heroes leading armies and you like those heroes to stay persistent between campaign missions. Some thing that are not good about it (but it's still very much worth playing!): - Ability bar gets clogged quickly with no way to rearrange or expand it - Game doesn't handle low-end computers well and crashes sometimes - There are no "strategic resources" like you might be used to from other Civ-like games. It makes every town feel "the same" - The game is often not very clear what to expect. Which units does Charm work on? Which ones can be affected by convert? Time limit on missions isn't announced, etc.

After almost 1100 hours the AI still cooks me

I love this game with all my heart. The base game is sublime, but the modding scene really makes it something special. I listen to the soundtrack when I'm in my car. I just wish it was a little less prone to crashing, but it's still far more fun than the miserable 4th game.

It is a great game to play by yourself or with others.
