Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It's a classic and I play it mainly for nostalgia reasons. There are certainly better strategy games meanwhile. But every single time, when I want to play, I have to download another stupid update. It's an old game, I don't want constant updates or seasonal events. But you cannot start without another 10min waiting. Please make it possible to opt out.

good game great game phenomenal nostalgia
Age of Empires DE is absolutely brilliant. As someoen who played the game all the way back to the year 2000, i can only see who good DE is, when compared to the original, because in my mind the original game always looked like what DE is. I have finally completed all of the campaigns in the base game, so now i feel like i can do a review. The last Kahns edition back in 2019 is amazing, Kotya Kahn, Ivaylo and Tamerlane are top tier campaigns. Tremendous adition. Over the years, the game looks even better with the new architechture packs. Very well worth the price, if you're looking for single player, we are talking about hours upon hours of content. Only some campaigns feel a bit of a drag to play like Yodit, Bari, Alaric, as neither the story or most the scenarios make it engaging to play.
super easy, a classic
