For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. Some bugs, specially with time, if you pause, the game doesn't really pause, and, if you use super speed, certainly will have bug with wave counts, but the art is amazing, the game is easy and I enjoy playing it.
Backgrounds are pretty cool. Game itself is not very fun. My biggest issue is that units feel weak, so I don't get my TD itch scratched at all.

This game isn't perfect; it has some bugs in both gameplay and audio, and the music has long pauses between tracks. Otherwise 20/10, a small gem in its raw state.
怎么都final update了还全是bug?图鉴为什么全是空的?升级路线为什么无法点击?
对比一代我只能说 超级无敌霹雳爆炸好玩 记得点天赋哦
dont like it.
Age of Defense is an energetic tower defense game that takes a familiar strategic formula and wraps it in a deliberately ridiculous prehistoric cartoon setting. Developed by Battlecruiser Games and published by Valkyrie Initiative, it focuses on defending a vulnerable tribe against enormous waves of monsters while gradually expanding the player's defensive options. Instead of approaching the genre with a serious military atmosphere, the game embraces exaggerated violence, goofy characters, colorful environments, and caveman-style humor. That personality gives it an immediately recognizable identity, but underneath the comedy is a fairly involved strategy game built around positioning, resource management, upgrades, special abilities, and adapting to increasingly troublesome enemies. The basic objective is simple: monsters advance toward the tribe, and the player must prevent them from reaching their destination. Defeating enemies provides resources that can be used to maintain and strengthen the defense. What makes the combat more engaging than simply placing units and waiting is the ability to influence enemy movement. Players can block sections of the road, forcing monsters to stop and giving nearby defenders additional time to attack them. This makes positioning especially important. A carefully selected location can transform an ordinary group of defenders into a highly effective defensive formation, while poor placement can allow dangerous enemies to pass through surprisingly quickly. The game offers 24 different types of defenders, providing enough variety to encourage experimentation rather than relying on a single strategy throughout the campaign. Choosing which defenders to deploy becomes increasingly important because the opposition is similarly diverse. There are more than 100 kinds of enemies, and some possess tricks or unusual characteristics designed to disrupt straightforward defensive plans. This variety creates an enjoyable tactical relationship between offense and defense. The player is constantly learning what particular enemies can do and determining which defenders, positions, and abilities provide the best response. Special powers further expand the tactical possibilities. These abilities can support defenders during dangerous situations and provide an additional layer of interaction once a battle is underway. Their presence helps Age of Defense avoid becoming overly passive. Building a strong defensive formation remains essential, but players are still encouraged to pay attention and respond when circumstances change. Difficult waves can quickly expose weaknesses in a formation, making good timing and efficient use of available powers valuable parts of successful play. Progression is one of the game's more substantial elements. The tribe can learn more than 100 skills, while defenders themselves can also be improved. Completing specific conditions awards points that can be invested in additional abilities, creating another incentive to perform well instead of merely surviving each encounter. This gives the campaign a persistent feeling of advancement. New possibilities gradually become available, and the growing collection of upgrades allows players to refine their preferred approaches. The large skill selection also complements the extensive enemy roster because later challenges demand increasingly capable defenses. Age of Defense spreads its battles across multiple worlds containing different environments and bosses. Changing locations matters because players are expected to adapt their strategies rather than endlessly repeating one successful arrangement. Boss encounters provide particularly large threats and act as major tests of everything learned during ordinary stages. These fights suit the exaggerated nature of the game perfectly, delivering large-scale confrontations that feel appropriately chaotic while forcing the player to make effective use of defenders, upgrades, blocking mechanics, and powers. The visual presentation is another important part of the experience. Age of Defense uses a colorful 2D cartoon aesthetic that favors expressive characters and exaggerated action over realism. Blood, suffering, monsters, and destruction are presented with intentionally absurd humor rather than a grim tone. The primitive style of the game's written descriptions reinforces this comedic identity, portraying the conflict from the simplistic perspective of a tribe desperately trying not to become monster food. It is intentionally silly, but that silliness gives the game considerably more character than a generic tower defense setting might have provided. Storytelling is handled partly through cartoon sequences that players can discover as they progress. These scenes provide additional motivation for completing the campaign and learning more about the tribe. They are not intended to turn the experience into a narrative-heavy adventure, but they help connect the various battles and worlds. Music and sound also change across the different worlds, helping individual environments establish their own atmosphere and preventing the lengthy campaign from feeling visually and audibly identical throughout. The sheer amount of content is both a strength and a potential source of difficulty. More than 100 enemy varieties, 24 defenders, over 100 skills, upgrades, special abilities, different locations, bosses, and challenge conditions give players plenty to learn. Newcomers can initially enjoy the straightforward premise, but later stages increasingly demand thoughtful combinations and better understanding of the mechanics. Players looking for a completely relaxed tower defense experience may find some encounters demanding. On the other hand, anyone who enjoys improving strategies after failure should appreciate how frequently the game asks them to reconsider their decisions. There are also 44 Steam achievements alongside support for Steam Cloud, trading cards, Family Sharing, and a single-player-focused structure. The technical requirements are extremely modest, fitting the game's lightweight 2D presentation. This accessibility works well with its overall design: Age of Defense does not rely on technological spectacle to remain entertaining. Its appeal comes primarily from the large number of tactical combinations, humorous artwork, steady progression, and increasingly chaotic confrontations. Age of Defense ultimately succeeds because it understands that a good tower defense game needs more than a large number of enemies. Battlecruiser Games combines enemy blocking, diverse defenders, active powers, extensive skills, upgrades, varied environments, challenging bosses, and persistent progression into a surprisingly substantial package. Valkyrie Initiative's published release maintains an intentionally ridiculous personality without allowing the humor to completely overshadow the strategy. Some players may find the presentation excessively silly or the later battles hectic, but those qualities are closely connected to its distinctive charm. For tower defense enthusiasts who enjoy experimentation, progression, colorful chaos, and constantly adjusting defensive formations, Age of Defense provides an entertaining and content-rich interpretation of the genre. Rating: 8/10
