About

Build, Gather and Fight in a Desperate Last Stand Against an Onslaught of Never Ending Evil!
The darkness is an entity of evil. Some say it is the manifestation of human fear and nightmares, others say it is a wandering mass of damned souls haunting us. The origin of the darkness itself is unknown, but one thing for certain is that we can keep it at bay through the power of light and fire.
The complete, full release of Age of Darkness: Final Stand is available now and includes Co-operative Multiplayer, Campaign, and Survival modes.

Brace yourself against huge tidal waves of Nightmares. Leveraging an internally developed technology called ‘SwarmTech’ allows the game to render over 70,000 enemy units on the screen at one time. These enemy legions claw their way up through seething fissures in the earth to reinforce ‘The Veil’.

Light up a rich, complex, procedurally generated map to claim territory back from ‘The Veil’. A dynamic living death fog that conceals enemies and drains life from your troops. Holding the line against this terror is not for the faint of heart.

Borrowing from the the roguelite genre, Malices are random afflictions placed on the player during every Death Night, unraveling the best made plans. Conversely, if a Death Night is survived, you may decide between three randomly selected Blessings, enriching the experience and giving your army a much needed edge.

Lead the charge against the horrors of the night with powerful and unique Heroes. Using special abilities gained from leveling up, these Heroes can be key to turning the tide of a desperate battle. But beware, the Nightmares have Elite roaming champions of their own that drop precious resources when killed, posing an extreme and ever-present threat to your expansion.

Co-Op Multiplayer - Team up with a friend in co-op multiplayer to survive the onslaught, defend humanity from the forces beyond the Veil, and reclaim the light together
Epic Campaign - Award winning single-player campaign full of epic battles and dire threats
Survival Mode - Put your endurance and skills to the test in the endlessly replayable Survival Mode
Award-Winning SwarmTech™ Technology – Witness the internally developed ‘SwarmTech’ technology, allowing the game to render over 70,000 enemy AI units on the screen at one time.

Dynamic Day & Night Cycle – Fight to reclaim territory by day and survive against the relentless horrors that come with every night.
Living Death Fog – Encounter The Veil, a living death fog that conceals terrors and adds a new layer of danger to your survival, which must be kept at bay through the power of the Light.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great game, too bad only 2 players can play in coop, and that the developers doesn't communicate with the community, that most people already assume they abandoned the game. We can only hope that the game isn't abandoned yet.
The game keeps crashing
hay una gotica culona que mas quieres
Bad UI, poorly optimized, the campaign gets ridiculously harder (no way to lower it, I got to the last mission but it just kept going and going after every "cut scene"/new objective and is not worth the stress), only get it when it is on sale like I did but if I had known about all these issues then maybe not even then, other reviews say devs gave up and moved on. Just play the GOATs stronghold crusader, age of mythology or the other ages.
Man, I feel bad giving this a negative rating. I really like the 'bones' of this game - I like the aesthetic, and setting, and the moment-to-moment gameplay is decent, but most other things need major rework/redesign. I got a decent amount of fun for my money, but I also spent the whole time disappointed that the game wasn't living up to its own potential. There are so many small changes that would make the experience better: - The story/writing are pretty bad and very cliche, e.g. "not that you'd know anything about loyalty" (says the dumb b***h who just betrayed the order 2 seconds ago). There didn't need to be evil humans, should have leaned more into the 'horrors beyond our understanding' theme. - The resource management is annoying. Everything builds so slow. Need more people? Okay build houses, but woops, those need food, so build more farms, but woops, those need people... - When a hero dies, camera snaps to your keep... (instead of the hero for some reason?). The first time this happend to me it took me a while to realise why I was losing, because your hero healthbar isn't realtime-accurate - it can still show 10-20% when this happens. - Missions take so looooong: Look up a video of the last mission and you'll see it takes 5-6 hours... - Autosaves barely exist: Woops a hero died off screen because they're dumb, hope you don't mind replaying the last 30min again tehe. - I rage quit at the end of the last mission after I lost a hero a few times because when she was attacking a 'boss', the 'boss' would teleport away when on low HP, at which point the hero would attempt to chase them to the other side of the map, right through the massive wave of enemies that 'boss' was part of, getting themselves killed before I could pull them back out. - Missed oportunity to have the click-drag formations actually sort units into ranks by type so that archers are always in the back, spears in the middle, shields in the front, etc. - Bodyblocking on allies is annoying, things getting pushed around way too much for no good reason. And the list goes on and on.
