Baffling that they don’t allow you to skip through narrative scenes considering if you want to go back to a chapter you have to replay the whole thing. If you miss a mustache or record it would take ages to try and find them. So you either have to use a walkthrough, play the same chapter over again, or just give up on finding them all. It also took an hour of uninstalling and reinstalling, and starting new games to trigger “the ring” dialogue option for Charles. So the thought of doing the prologue again just to get the mustaches I missed is atrocious. If you don’t care about achievements or finding all the hidden stuff it’s an okay game. But I won’t be playing anymore Agatha Christie games by this studio for a while.
Excellent game that unfortunately I could not complete due to my disability (which is nobody's problem but mine of course). I was able to complete the chase sequence in the previous title (Murder on the Orient Express), but alas, there is too much spinning around in stairs in this title. I would have given a neutral review if possible.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 643: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (9/10) Maybe I'm an easy gamer to please, but damn, I was surprised by the relatively few and Mostly Positive reviews! I quite enjoyed Agatha Christie - The ABC Murders and Agatha Christie - Hercule Poirot: The First Cases, but Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile is a major step forward! The investigations are more involved, the puzzles are far more varied, the production values are noticeably higher, and the game constantly gives you something new to do. Between reconstructing timelines, eavesdropping on conversations, connecting relationships between suspects, uncovering hidden character secrets, and solving dozens of environmental puzzles, I was almost always engaged. Better yet, the game isn't content to simply retell Christie's (terrific) novel. It introduces new twists and surprises that kept me guessing even though I already knew the original story. Unfortunately, the experience is held back by one glaring flaw: the pacing. Nearly every action feels slower than it needs to be. Characters speak slowly, movement is sluggish, animations take their time, and there isn't even a proper dialogue skip. Still, I would definitely recommend this game on sale (or have a baseball game going in the background).
Pros:
✅ Fantastic detective gameplay. This is easily the biggest improvement. Rather than simply collecting clues and selecting dialogue options, Death on the Nile constantly asks you to think and keep notes. The mind map returns—and actually makes sense this time!—but it's only one piece of a much larger investigation toolkit. You reconstruct timelines of events, secretly eavesdrop on conversations, connect relationships between suspects, build detailed character profiles by uncovering their hidden secrets, and solve a huge variety of puzzles and mini-games. I didn't expect the length either. Nine chapters and one epilogue out of two resulted in about 17 hours of playtime. ✅ Excellent production values. All right, I admit it, the engine has a sort of 2000s janky look/feel. But I thought the game was charming! Every character is fully voiced, and the performances do a great job capturing the personalities of Christie's cast, different accents and all. Every voice actor was terrific. The soundtrack is jazzy and fun without becoming repetitive, the environments are varied and richly detailed, and the game includes plenty of collectibles. ✅ A fresh take on a classic mystery. Even if you've read Death on the Nile, don't assume you know exactly where the story is going. There are so many twists and turns in this game. Seriously,
how many people died cumulatively?
I liked Jane Royce a lot, too, and how her mysteries slowly became intertwined with Poirot's. ✅ Choices and consequences. Although this is still fundamentally a detective game, your decisions aren't entirely cosmetic. Certain story moments influence how events unfold, culminating in two different endings. Pretty neat! Also, update: I played both endings and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Damn. Wow, okay, Epilogue A just punched me in the face.
Cons:
🟥 Painfully slow pacing. This is, unfortunately, the game's biggest weakness. Everything moves at about three-quarters speed. Characters pause between nearly every sentence. Walking is sluggish; the running button is more like jogging. Animations are slow and repetitive. Worst of all, there is no proper dialogue skip. 🟥 Occasionally frustrating investigations. Certain clues only become interactable when your cursor is positioned over an extremely specific pixel, which led to moments where I walked right past where I needed to go. Some puzzle solutions also require memorizing information from your mind map because you can't reference it while solving them, for some reason. Also, puzzles have hints that give you the answer but are not unskippable. There is also no manual save. 🟥 A few unnecessary gameplay detours. Most of the new mechanics are fantastic, but I didn't like all of them. The stealth sequences and chase sections feel like attempts to inject action into a game that doesn't need it. They're short enough not to ruin the experience, but every time one appeared, I found myself wishing I could skip. Despite some negative comments which made me hesitate to buy this game, I actually really enjoyed it. I played it like a cozy game, walking around exploring and putting together a case. I think if you go in expecting hardcore detective work, you'll be let down. If you go in looking for a relaxing story, you'll like this. There are also quite a lot of puzzles which some might find tedious, but you can easily skip them by spamming for hints if you want to.
How i don't know ?! i guess it was FBI ! or someone spied on me ..as this game just pop-up as soon as i opened steam after i watched the movie which i also did just for Gal Gadot :)..movie wasn't that great but this game is based on the books or so was the movie ..can't tell ..but one thing is certain this game is perfectly splendid...and i have to admit i wasn't sure about this game but the demo convinced me to buy it ! If you read the books or even watched the movie before you might know who is the killer ..but if not well just play it and have fun finding ...as this game despite being small is huge ..with a lot of puzzles and explore areas to find different items. Game also add a new story that isn't in the movie or book but it will fit so perfectly in the story of game that will be like it wasnt even invented ...you will be introduced to a character named Jane Royce that will have her own story and mysteries and later will be merged to Poirot mysteries ...and adding even more content of them together ... Graphics are just pure amazing ...cartoonish but realistic in same time ..is just something unique ... Soundtrack is pure classic ..fitting the vibes and areas so good that will make you feel you are in there... Have fun and enjoy exploring the mysteries of Egypt and the murder on the Nile !
With a $40 price tag (bought on sale for $20), it's lacking a lot for what I would want from a title of that price Good story Decent graphics Interesting puzzles Visuals - as soon as you finish the first section, prologue if you will, you're hit with an attempt of a dramatic scene that made me laugh when realizing what the devs were aiming for - following up with the last point, the overall production value of the game is subpar. Voices don't match character, mouth visuals are half-done and even the setting of the chapters (now in chapter 6) are just lacking visually. I feel like I am playing something from the early Playstation days. - you see the same characters throughout the game ... not one of them changes clothes. Detective work - I saw where they were going with this; trying not to just give the player the next step. They make you search for everything to the point where if a detail is small, it's literally the smallest icon to click and won't appear until your cursor is ON IT. A bunch of times I questioned certain things in a scene and didn't get the icon to register until I was on a specific part of the clue. But there are some parts of the chapters that force you to walk around aimlessly, I guess in an attempt to explore the area so I can see it from that perspective. But if you're looking for a clear direction of where to go, you're going to have a hard time. - I've read some reviews complaining about irrelevant puzzles. I can see it. During one of the chapters I felt the puzzles were more blatant obstacles than contributing to the deduction of what was actually happening in the plot. If you're going to charge $40, at least give me some $40 game visuals. Sure, it's a detective game but I can name cheaper games that offer the same quality or better. Do not pay full price for this game. Previous AC games were far better and didn't even need the visuals.
Agatha Christie oyunlarını uzun zamandır oynayan biri olarak Death on the Nile beni hayal kırıklığına uğratmadı. 👍
It's not terrible, but it's not good either. The game has a very strong opening, which means that you miss it during the rest of the game. As with the previous Poirot game, there's too many minigames (to a ridiculous degree) that detract from proper investigation and deduction. No, you don't need 4 minigames to repair a jukebox or for absolutely every suspect to own objects that can only be opened by solving a puzze. It gets tiring fast. The world itself is limited but fine. The real parts are relatively well recreated, but everything else feels clunky and flat. This is not helped by the fact that we see the same characters in very different places wearing the same clothes. It does not matter if it's London, Majorca or Cairo: if you met them at the club in London, they are still wearing their party clothes. Poirot is the only one that changes outfits (though he sleeps fully dressed), Jane does not. The game is divided into two halves, one from Poirot's perspective and the other from another detective, Jane Royce. Poirot's story and development was alright, Jane's was not. Her chapters dragged on and in my opinion were a bad experience that only went up a bit during the Epilogue. Jane seems, frankly, expressly designed for the player to despise her. She is supposedly a genius, but she keeps putting herself in very dangerous situations innecessarily. Not in a daring way either, just in a moronic one. She's seemingly aware she deals with a deadly group but never acts accordingly. She comes across as fully satisfied with herself undeservedly and completely fine with taking advantage of others. As an example of that: one thing this game inverted a lot of time in are the expressions/emotions of the characters. When Jane is "subtly" interrogating an unsuspecting source, she has an easygoing smile, but as soon as information is revealed to her, without saying goodbye or leaving, she thinks to herself and scowls heavily. She was still conversing with the source! Even worse: in the epilogue, she asks a character for a photo she has of her father and herself. This character relents and loans the photo to Jane for a couple hours but expresses that it's the only one she has with him and she cherishes it dearly. Jane promises to take good care of it. So what does Jane do? Immediately stick it to the wall with a thumbstack and then proceed to put another one through her father's face. Did no one at the studio think this through? This woman just happlily tore holes into unique object with untold emotional value without a care in the world! There's quite a lot of examples like this one. As a result, Jane comes across as absolutely rude both to the other characters (though they don't seem to notice) and to the player. And that's being generous. If that was her intended personality, that would be fine. She's a daring selfish rude genius with no regards for sentimentality or human life (including her own) but she always cracks the case! Not ideal, in my opinion, but workable. However, the game (and the other characters, including Poirot) makes it very clear at every opportunity through dialogue (never shown) how intelligent she is, how kind, how good of a detective she is etc... In my opinion, her character feels completely unnecessary and detracts from the game. I wish she was either not in there at all or that she'd been written very differently.
打完了,体验整个就是很牢。在大量的机关解谜中发现了少量的主线剧情,非常拖节奏。然后也看得出是超小成本制作,建模简陋,但是镜头和台词演出又超级长,还不能跳,观感非常差。大坐牢。
