Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.25/day in the week to Aug 3 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

With a writing team that includes credits on Far Cry, Mass Effect, and Sovereign Syndicate, Aether & Iron brings to life an alternate timeline in which anti-gravitational aether technology has reshaped the city skyline and deepened social divides.
Thoroughly researched and inspired by real-life counterparts from 1930s New York City, explore its backstreets, dive into its seedy underbelly, marvel at stunning architecture, and peel back the city's many layers of power and greed.
Your choices shape not just your path, but the city's fate as well. Will you rise as a savior, withdraw as a renegade, or evolve into a symbol of resilience in a world of authoritarian barons and high-stakes strategy?

What good is a smuggler without a good getaway car? Assemble a wide range of incredible aether-powered vehicles and unlock new tactical options to try out in an interesting twist on strategic, turn-based vehicular battles.
Tinker with your rides to suit your playstyle. Do you prefer moving hard and fast, relying on speed for quick getaways? Or perhaps you might prefer to slap on some steel plates and bust out the grenade launcher!

The streets of New York can be unforgiving without reliable backup. Recruit unique and resourceful companions to watch your back, and follow their stories. Each is armed with a range of talents that can make all the difference in a jam.
We have over 200 voiced characters in the game, here are a few:

Dive Into An Underground Life: Navigate secret paths, dodge enemies, hide contraband, and stay ahead of the big bosses out to get you. Perhaps join a rebellion along the way.
Your Choices Matter: Your decisions will shape the unfolding history of New York and the lives of its citizens, determining whether they will be able to find hope in a corrupt world of manipulation and violence.
Grow Your Talents: Level up your Hustle, Smarts, and Brass abilities to improve your chances in combat and social situations. But no matter how good you are always a dice roll away from success or failure.
Drive In Style: Upgrade your aether-powered rides to suit your playstyle. Enhance your cars with every trick in the smuggler’s toolkit - hidden compartments, smoke dispensers, and flamethrowers of course.
Hand-drawn Art: Inspired by 1930’s Detective Comics and the Art Deco period, Aether & Iron brings a unique visual identity to gameplay.
Full English Language Voice Acting: Experience an alt-history 1930s New York directly through the voices of its inhabitants. Learn their stories; sometimes funny, sometimes philosophical, usually tragic.

The story is fun and enjoyable. The car combat is ok. I'm getting a good time with this game and that's the important part.

A very good RPG for those who like authenthic atmosphere of the early 20th century, well-written memorable characters and appreciate games with a lot of text (a pro good voice over is present). The combat is also pretty interesting, yet it may prove to be a bit of a challenge for those who don't invest into it early in the game, as the final boss fight is pretty hard, at least the devs are thoughtful enough for you to be able to load up an earlier save or to ease the combat a bit, which is nice. Finally, a great amount respect for introducing a diverse cast (you've got characters from american, italian, german, russian, irish, balkan, jewish and various african descents) the way it always should be IMO - each character blends well into the world, no forced agenda whatsoever and the differences are celebrated with good humour and chemistry. Hope more studious will follow cue. Really hope to see more content in the future :)
Diversity-intense game. You know, THAT diversity. The one everyone runs away from to the videogames. The untasteful narrative with the scientist client fooling around all over the place. That is not how you drive a detective-like plot. The setting is nice but the narrative, man. The game tries to be Disco Elysium and fails so miserably hard. The scientist makes me cringe each time she is on display. Hell, I am still playing only because the voice actor murmurs main character's word salad into my ears. Cheap little trick to keep me hooked. The story is definitely written by some female fanfic maniac. No depth, just words upon words upon words. Twitch ASMR got to my vidya. 6/10
First ever steam comment This game is one of the greats , Dialogues and VA is impeccible Story is Great Combat Is a fresh breeze as in not the generic type Charecters are memorible , their Story and interactions are fun , some mature some open up some forgive , almost like they are alive Its honestly a better/equal to disco Elysim A 10/10 Buy its worth it
Wow. Great voice acting, Engaging storyline, characters, history and environment I want to know more about. The Gameplay is decent with dice rolling and strategic turn based car battles. I recommend this game so far.
Great story and dialogue. Intuitive and creative gameplay. Top notch voice acting and music. The voice acting is so good in this game that I never skip any dialogue. Highly recommended. Looking forward to future games from this developer.
I have not seen a narrative like this since Disco Elysium, and I cannot even remember if there was any indi game ever that created such book-like immersion on a parallel reality
Wonderful game that combines so many genres together. Be it visual novel, turn based strategy, RPG, or even a little point and click. There are choices that have impact, even failure states when selecting something very dumb. Well voice acted, written, etc. It's also fairly lengthy. However, this is one of worst games from a technical standpoint. I've lost saves. All of them, somehow. Almost finished Dreamland, yet even White Street saves were wiped. Upon loading it started the opening cutscene. I've had the game go unresponsive more time than I had hours of playtime (the figure shown here isn't accurate.) The game takes too long to load. Sometimes it might have memory leaks, forcing me to restart my pc. And my most recent save is broken with an endless loading. (At least the game saves often, so it's not a big problem. YET.) Sometimes events don't trigger from entering an area, and bug out if you return to said areas. Sometimes the game simply freezes forever. I've played on private mmo servers, buggy flash games, countless bootleg rpgmaker titles, nes games on glitchy cartriges, games on scratched up CDs. A whole lot of stuff in my lifetime. I have never seen a game this badly developed. Well maybe NES games that break instantly, but none that work at all were as buggy as this. And this is after quite a few patches. I am loving the game, but good lord...
