Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 15 → 1.5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is really really good. One of my favourite games of all time. However, I think playing this game singleplayer is extremely overwhelming and as a newer player i'd seriously not recommend getting the game if you only intend to play singleplayer. The 2 player co-op multiplayer experience is where the true experience lies. It's hard to explain how good this game is as the game has a lot of mechanics to it. I think perhaps it is the deep, complicated and intertwining game mechanics are what make the gameplay loop so enjoyable as exploring and learning everything feels awesome and rewarding. There are a million different cards to choose per class, tonnes of different ways of playing each character and each composition of characters and it's... not very obvious at all what is good and what is not. You really are forced to go experiment over and over again. Normally with reviews I find it easy to explain why I like a game and why I don't, but with Across the Obelisk it feels quite difficult for some reason. I think the balance of the game (on the highest difficulty) feels so good that the player is allowed to become absolutely ridiculously overpowered fun power fantasy of their choosing... yet still feel like the game is no-where near turning into a faceroll boring slogfest. Every turn is a nailbiter, every draw is important, every card you play matters and every character has to be pulling their weight, or you will lose. The constant need to keep up with your enemies as at any moment you can just get smashed is what keeps this game alive for me. Slay the Spire is a game I have 1k hours on and is the go to for comparisons in the genre. I think StS has the issue of you get a deck which is really overpowered, and you just sorta win with no contest. It's so uncommon in Across the Obelisk that you win with no contest unless you have just looked up all the optimal builds. If you are playing through genuine exploration the game feels brilliantly designed to provide a very challenging yet rewarding experience. I talked a lot about balance being great, but there are some downsides. There are way too many cards which are actually useless, which is a shame. I would love a balance patch to raise the power level of these cards. Example is a card like Flamestrike. It costs (5) mana and does around 30 damage AoE. Emberstorm is a card which costs (1) mana and does 5 damage AoE. Seems balanced right? Well the way Across the Obelisk works almost all damage scaling effects work as +1 flat damage or +1 flat debuff. This means that if I have +5 fire damage and +5 burn, the emberstorm is now hitting for a number which is ridiculously more mana efficient than Flamestrike. This is not even to mention that Flamestrike is a Rare card, where Emberstorm is a common card. One of the easiest and best decks in the entire game is a Mage with as many Emberstorms as you can find, and a copy of combust. No other cards needed really. This to me is a bit silly and I would love to see some balance for cards like this. Also while I love this game the intellectual property theft from other games (especially WoW) is absolutely egregious. How can the character models, enemies and theme of the Zones range from fairly unique and interesting to pretty awesome, yet the card design name and themes all feel either placeholder or stolen. Why is EVERY single card a "reference" to WoW, like can't you get your own IP? If you think i'm exaggerating just go look up a list of Priest, Warrior or Mage spells from WoW and compare them to their counterparts in Across the Obelisk, it's kind of insane. I like WoW too, I get it it's a cool game but use a thesaurus to at least pretend you aren't just lifting every single card name from another game. The DLC is also extremely overpriced, however it's not really needed. You can play the base game and be pretty happy. The vast majority of my hours are of the base game.

The game is like Slay the Spire but a bit more difficult. I can't get past the act 1 boss and I don't know what to do. I might give up on this game soon and play Slay the Spire 2 instead. If there was a neutral rating, I would rate it that because it reminds me of StS so much. I'll recommend the game only if you like to grind and fail over and over again.
if you like Slay the spire. You will love this. It's even better
lots of fun
