This is a beautifully crafted game that really takes immersion to the next level with out of game resources tailored to your gameplay and necessary for progression. So don't be shocked by the small UI - it's deliberate. And also keep a browser window open with a search engine to assist. I do worry about the longevity of the game resources however and hope that they stay up for years to come - otherwise the replay value of the game will be seriously hampered or rendered impossible. I'm also disappointed there is no "pin to top" option as it's a little frustrating navigating back to the game and away when other programs allow themselves to be pinned so you can work in the background with the pinned program staying always visible. You definitely will need some technological or coding know-how to solve some of these puzzles or at least know the correct combination of words to research resources to help
there is, however, a guide posted on Steam already if you become stuck and cannot find what you need to progress
. Honestly was a game that blew me away as I played and it is one of the best investigation games I've played in a while. The AI does leave a lot to be desired (for example not understanding complements or agreements outside of the basic yes/no words) but so long as you don't poke too hard at the fringes of the possible word phrases and don't ask broad/unfamiliar questions you should have a good experience with the game. Overall, a game I would recommend to those who like investigation games!

An enjoyable game i picked up on itch that really scratches the ARG itch. This one makes you feel like a detective as you dig in. While the language recognition could be better, overall, this provides a great experience if you want to poke at the seams and unravel some layers of a mystery.
It's maybe a little overambitious, but certainly an interesting and unique little game. I'd love to see some kind of follow up or sequel to it, because I feel like the premise can only get better, especially as AI technology improves. I love stories like this, and the ARG aspect added a fun twist. I do wish that Ana could help you with the investigation a bit more. She feels very limited. There were a few instances where I sort of knew what I had to do, but wasn't sure how to do it, and the logical in game thing to do was to ask her. However, she usually wasn't much help and I ended up referring to a walkthrough in those spots. Despite that, I had a lot of fun and got attached to my AI, despite her limitations, Maybe not a game to buy at full price, but definitely worth picking up during a sale
Overall a very fun game. A bit challenging sometimes, but that's the point.
I love this game. I really felt sucked in and like I was investigating a shifty scary company. LOVED IT! Lots of technical puzzles and real world knowledge was earned.
I had a really fun time with this game until hitting a roadblock. I don't know if some of the files are corrupted, or if the way Windows accesses files has changed, but I am unable to complete the game. Restarted the game from scratch, reinstalled multiple times, nothing seems to help. Too bad.
Interesting and different. Haven't played a game before where you have to interact with other websites and your own PC. The AI is more like ELIZA first generation, so don't expect deep conversations. And it's as frustrating as a commercial website chatbot. But it can be fun too. Only recommended if you know a bit about IT, or are prepared to learn about it, as the puzzles and clues are computer/code/web/encryption/ based.

"Her Story" Meets "Deus Ex Machina". I first read about this game in EDGE (UK magazine) and I'm really glad I picked it up, it's great. Really interesting mystery game that plays out really well. If you're a fan of Sam Barlow titles (Her Story, Telling Lies) you'll enjoy this game for sure.
