Access Denied: Escape

I played the original Access Denied about 10 years ago in 2016. It was an interesting puzzle game back then. Access Denied: Escape doesn't disappoint in the puzzle department either, and this sequel also adds a story as you play through the game. You're hired by scienstist who has asked you to retrieve something important for him, however things doesn't reallt work out as planned... I definitely want to check out some of the other games from this dev, for example "Is this Game Trying to Kill Me?" looks interesting!

В обзоре я буду много их сравнивать, ибо есть что сказать. Вкратце - суть серии игр во взломе шкатулок, наподобие The Room, но в гораздо меньших масштабах. Перейдём к различиям с первой частью: Во-первых, вторая часть получила какой-никакой, но сюжет, а что самое приятное - тайну и твист в конце! Это означает, что необязательно играть в первую часть чтобы понять сюжет второй части. Несмотря на недолгую продолжительность игры, [i]которая составляет около полутора часов[/i], мы получаем осмысленную законченную историю. Во-вторых, игра стала [b]гораздо интереснее[/b] - куча новых механик, с которыми интересно было знакомится. Последнее что хочется упомянуть - это [b]возможность двигаться[/b]. Со статичной первой части про стол со шкатулками мы перешли к комнатам, взаимодействию с окружением и поиском предметов и чтению записок. Подытожив, можно сказать, что Access Denied: Escape - это самостоятельная игра-головоломка, которая за свою цену порадует любителей своими не всегда однозначными, но довольно простыми задачами, незаурядным, но интересным сюжетом и приятной графикой. Очень качественная, интересная как сюжетно, так и геймплэйно, головоломка.

A fine, polished puzzle-box title. It's short, the translation is imperfect, and the puzzles are fairly simple, but I got it in a bundle and enjoyed it for the couple hours it took to complete.

7/10 This is a fairly simple puzzle/escape game. Almost all of the progression is put directly in front of you - there are only a few times where you need to look around to find something that is not obvious. It's a nice little story, with a few options to sway from the path (for achievements!). I found this much easier than other puzzle and escape games, but that can be nice sometimes.

It was fun but really nothing really special. It's your standard Escape Room fare with a very loose story with some Sci-Fi tappings which was still easy to follow, despite being a sequel (have not played the first game). Ending is kinda abrupt though. The puzzles themselves are NOT HARD. Finished it and did not remember scrambling for a hint. If you played a lot of Escape Room games you would breeze through this one.
