About

Crafted with passion by the dream team that redefined side-scrolling beat 'em ups, Absolum mixes top-of-the-class combat action with modern roguelite elements, bringing all the vibes of the fantasy arcade hits of the past into an immersive adventure set in the original world of Talamh.

Talamh has been shattered by a magical cataclysm caused by ambitious wizards, leaving magic mistrusted by the common folk. Sun King Azra took advantage of this panic, enslaving wizards through his Crimson Order and placing loyal princes to rule over the conquered realms.
As Azra’s forces claim more and more lands, the high enchantress Uchawi and a small group of rebels rise from the shadows, wielding forbidden magic to challenge his oppressive regime and defy his absolute magic power.

Meet the outcast heroes of Talamh, each with their unique fighting style.
From the shadows of Yeldrim, Galandra emerges as an unstoppable force of nature. Her colossal sword strikes with deadly precision, combined with chilling, destructive necromantic powers. Her calm demeanor is a thin veil, barely concealing the furious anger brewing inside her.
Karl is the last free dwarf of Talamh. Armed with an ancestral blunderbuss and his bare fists, he’s a master of close-range brawls and explosive tactics. What he lacks in reach at mid-range, he makes up for with raw strength and quick thinking, making him a stalwart ally in the revolt against Azra's oppression.
During their ordeals, two mysterious heroes will join them on a quest to overthrow the Sun King: Brome, a wizard prodigy on a mission to preserve the future generations of his people, and the enigmatic Cider, a nimble skirmisher in search of answers among the scattered fragments of their own soul.

Absolum combines Dotemu and Guard Crush’s mastery in beat ‘em up gameplay with Supamonks' best-in-class art and animation. With its fast-paced action and endless replayability, Absolum will challenge you with multiple paths to explore and unpredictable encounters for a new experience each time you play.

Take down Azra’s elite guard with a mix of rapid combo chains and spellcasting powers, unleashing moves that feel as raw as they are strategic. Use magical counters and rare items to turn the tide in your favor and experience a combat system that demands skill and timing, pushing you to craft new strategies at every run to wreak havoc among the enemy ranks.

Lead the uprising against Azra's regime as a lone hero, or team up with a friend on your couch or online. Combine your elemental powers and synchronize your attacks into incredible chained combos!
The world of Talamh is an intricate tapestry brimming with secrets, stories, and betrayals. From the majestic mines of Grandery to the lush forests of Jaroba, every step of your odyssey will be accompanied by a magnificent soundtrack by composer Gareth Coker (Ori, Halo Infinite, Prince of Persia), with collaborations from Yuka Kitamura (Dark Souls, Elden Ring), Mick Gordon (Doom Eternal, Atomic Heart), and more!

So much fun. I played it because I love a good beat'em up and the fantasy setting. But the roguelite format works so well. I am constantly surprised how well balanced it is. Just when I think this might be the last run I can manage, I beat a boss or open a new section of the map. What can I say, I'm hooked.
es un juego redondo, hecho con todo el amor posible, impresindible.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's just good
Recomendo bastante!
What an absolutely amazing beat-em-up. This game has charm, soul, interesting environment, variable challenge, lots of different enemies, and crisp controls. The co-op is quite chaotic, but can be hard to see what's going on a lot though. The various items and abilities you can pick up add a lot of variety to runs, with some being lackluster, and others making you into a god. That being said, this game can be completely beaten without any power ups at all, if you have your fundamentals down, and understand enemies attack patterns, mind your positioning, etc. ya know, the usual for beat-em-ups. Even after you "beat" the game, theres lot of different challenge modes to activate to keep your runs fresh. My only real gripe with the game, is the online co-op can sometimes be finicky. I could not connect to play with my friend who lives across the entire US, as the game would just not connect. not exactly sure why. however, said friend used a VPN to "appear" as if he was located in the west coast, and our games were more than smooth enough to have some chaotic fun. So if you have issues connecting with your online friend, perhaps one of you could try a VPN temporarily while trying to play? Additionally, if there is some sort of internet connectivity issue, and your online co-op partner disconnects, there no way to resume your session. you just gotta go it alone, or abandon the run. However, I (so far) have had only one instance of this happening. But I would like some sort of "run resuming feature" when such occurrences do happen. That being said, this game is an absolute blast, and i'm so glad I bought it. It's hard to tell if this game or Streets of Rage 4 are the top of my list of Beat-em-ups, but both are S-tier games in my opinion, and both jump to S+ if you bring a friend. If you like beat-em-up games, and don't mind (or do like) a bit of roguelike element as part of it, I think you'll love this game.
