About

Crafted with passion by the dream team that redefined side-scrolling beat 'em ups, Absolum mixes top-of-the-class combat action with modern roguelite elements, bringing all the vibes of the fantasy arcade hits of the past into an immersive adventure set in the original world of Talamh.

Talamh has been shattered by a magical cataclysm caused by ambitious wizards, leaving magic mistrusted by the common folk. Sun King Azra took advantage of this panic, enslaving wizards through his Crimson Order and placing loyal princes to rule over the conquered realms.
As Azra’s forces claim more and more lands, the high enchantress Uchawi and a small group of rebels rise from the shadows, wielding forbidden magic to challenge his oppressive regime and defy his absolute magic power.

Meet the outcast heroes of Talamh, each with their unique fighting style.
From the shadows of Yeldrim, Galandra emerges as an unstoppable force of nature. Her colossal sword strikes with deadly precision, combined with chilling, destructive necromantic powers. Her calm demeanor is a thin veil, barely concealing the furious anger brewing inside her.
Karl is the last free dwarf of Talamh. Armed with an ancestral blunderbuss and his bare fists, he’s a master of close-range brawls and explosive tactics. What he lacks in reach at mid-range, he makes up for with raw strength and quick thinking, making him a stalwart ally in the revolt against Azra's oppression.
During their ordeals, two mysterious heroes will join them on a quest to overthrow the Sun King: Brome, a wizard prodigy on a mission to preserve the future generations of his people, and the enigmatic Cider, a nimble skirmisher in search of answers among the scattered fragments of their own soul.

Absolum combines Dotemu and Guard Crush’s mastery in beat ‘em up gameplay with Supamonks' best-in-class art and animation. With its fast-paced action and endless replayability, Absolum will challenge you with multiple paths to explore and unpredictable encounters for a new experience each time you play.

Take down Azra’s elite guard with a mix of rapid combo chains and spellcasting powers, unleashing moves that feel as raw as they are strategic. Use magical counters and rare items to turn the tide in your favor and experience a combat system that demands skill and timing, pushing you to craft new strategies at every run to wreak havoc among the enemy ranks.

Lead the uprising against Azra's regime as a lone hero, or team up with a friend on your couch or online. Combine your elemental powers and synchronize your attacks into incredible chained combos!
The world of Talamh is an intricate tapestry brimming with secrets, stories, and betrayals. From the majestic mines of Grandery to the lush forests of Jaroba, every step of your odyssey will be accompanied by a magnificent soundtrack by composer Gareth Coker (Ori, Halo Infinite, Prince of Persia), with collaborations from Yuka Kitamura (Dark Souls, Elden Ring), Mick Gordon (Doom Eternal, Atomic Heart), and more!

Jogo bão, não passei raiva
Got this as a gift. I'll be real, I'm couldn't decide to recommend or not. I adore the defensive balancing in this game. You have 3 different defensive tools with varying difficulties and rewards to successful execution. It makes blocking attacks interesting and dynamic. Offensive balancing though? Really bland. The characters pretty much just have light jab combo, heavy, jump light, jump heavy, and dash attack. You may luck into new attacks as rewards for beating bosses, but that's neither guaranteed nor are those attacks necessarily that impactful. With it being a roguelike where you have to fight through the same hordes of enemies over and over again every time you die or restart, the combos get repetitive pretty quick. Normally the random stuff you get in roguelikes helps with that, but the random stuff in this is also lacking in variety. Every element only has one or two actual effects with a bunch of different drops that just trigger that effect on different options. There is a burn effect for every defensive action and offensive action for example. Powerful to stack, but still has you doing the exact same combo as every other run. As referenced earlier the bosses can drop attacks, to be specific they give you options unique to your character. Those aren't limited to attacks and are a bit more dynamic. Unfortunately, you don't get many of them and they come so slow that you get bored of whatever new combo you might have made before you get near the next one, and if you wind up with only passives you aren't going to get a new combo piece anyway. My last gripe I'll leave here is an unfortunate effect of combining a roguelike with defensive balancing. This game has PRISTINE balancing. The hits deal fair damage, and its darn well your fault when you get hit. HOWEVER, getting better at a defensively balanced game often means learning the timing of a tough enemy's moves one by one through a mix of reactions and trial and error. That's not a bad thing, unless its a roguelike. Where not learning the timing quick enough means redoing the ENTIRE game to have another attempt at learning timing. A game that has super repetitive combos and lack of variety. See the problem? If I could die and then walk right back in to the boss room I would've loved every single moment of this game. Instead I was frustrated slogging my way back to where I was. To be fair, this game has super customizable difficulty options, allowing you to change how much damage you take. But as I said, the balancing is fine, its that failure means excessive inconvenience that makes it bad. Just reducing the damage bosses deal so you don't actually have to get good is both unsatisfying and boring. I don't mind losing, I mind having to redo everything just for another attempt. The one unique thing between runs is you'll get access to some new areas and story beats occasionally. To many that probably adds at least a bit of interest. I admittedly, had very little interest in story when I was trying to get back to a boss I want to beat. All that being said, this game is both great and terrible. If you don't mind simple combos and think you'll get enough satisfaction from the tight and rewarding defensive system, you probably will like this. If you hate repetition, you will probably not. It really all comes down that. Since the combat is genuinely excellent, it just overstays its welcome when you have to redo it so much. So I'm, tentatively giving this a positive. But make sure you know what you're getting into. Just one of those things where taste makes or breaks it.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a beautiful blend of beat 'em up with rougelite in fantasy grimdark universe styled like Mike Mignola's comics art, accompanied by music from Ori, Doom and Dark Souls composers. It plays great both solo and in co-op. Now you don't have any excuse so go play it.
Absolutely stellar spiritual successor Sega's Golden Axe series as well as Capcom's D&D arcade games with modern sensibilities sprinkled in like roguelike elements
Gameplay garantida!
The game is good and has potential to be great but i think the game isn't finished yet. It lacks some polish. Like character keeps talking even after you quit to the menu. The art and music is fantastic. Worldbuilding is intriguing. Combat feels satisfying when it works, but when it doesn't you want to punch the dev in the face because elite enemies are just huge blocks of concrete so they combo you. Dialogue writing is very bad. Characters don't even feel like they are talking to each other and the line pool is so limited that characters keep saying the same thing. Therefore, even though the voice acting is mostly great, lines set them back. There is also part where a bard plays her lyre but you here an acoustic guitar recorded in a bathroom, it was hilarious. True final boss also has a really stupid requirement to access i dont how they tought it was a good idea. Overall solid game, a lot better with assist mod, even better with friends.
