Well i like this game.As a chess player i find the tactics rather good.First encountered this game when a lady friend bought it and kicked my butt.I always beat her at chess.(apart from once when i gazed into her eyes too long and accidently gave my my Queen away.Too much wine and adoration going on :) Had to practice so got this on Steam.Just like the real thing. No negatives for me.If you like the game its perfect for playing against.Am playing on Regular level to get the hang of it. Havn't lost many games.Thumbs up from me.BTW not interested in online play so cant comment if it works etc.
I'm a big board-game fan and so I purchased this during a board-game sale. After playing a handful of rounds I really enjoy the game. Simple but hard to master kind of thing. My gripes are mainly that the Dev's should have talked more about the game - it's history etc... Self-advertising of the game. Also some strategy advise training and thoughts on play would have been nice. Overall a relaxing casual game to play when your wanting something light. I'm not a big online multiplayer type gamer so I can't speak to the multiplayer aspect - It has decent sale prices and is worth picking up.

Abalone is one of those board games in which both sides are completely equal and the trick is to outmanouver the opponent by thinking ahead. Abalone is a clever twist on the genre. You have to push enemy pieces off the side of the board instead of jumping over/surrounding them, and you can move up to 3 of your pieces in the same direction as long as they are in a straight line. I don't care for this kind of thing, but if you like checkers, dammen, go and such this may be for you.
This is a good implementation of the original board game (perhaps even with more variations - I haven't had the paper instructions out or a long time). It plays well, the audio is tolerable if not engaging in an ongoing way, and the AI is not stellar, but can give you some minutes of fun trying to corner it and not make a gaffe that will cost your side. I like this game.
Boring. My rating 4/10, not recommended.
The game has 27 Steam achievements, but the store page doesn’t properly display the achievement feature/tag, which is frustrating for achievement hunters who rely on Steam’s filters when building their library. It’s especially strange for a game with this many achievements, covering everything from winning games and completing challenges to playing thousands of moves and reaching high scores. On top of that, the achievements have apparently had issues with unlocking or registering for some players, making the lack of proper store information even more annoying.

Bref, je vous recommande chaudement ce jeu, pour la partie solo :) --------------------- Very good game if you want to play solo! This game offers a tutorial to learn the basics and then you can move on to the "Challenges" mode, a sort of campaign against the AI, which will present you with small challenges and guide you in learning the game. I'm a beginner, and I got halfway through the campaign without too much difficulty. It's quick and very interesting! There's also a "Daily Challenge," which changes every day, adding replayability! You will also have the option to play real games against the AI with various difficulty levels and settings (number of marbles to remove, time per move), with an incredible number of variations in the placement of the marbles on the board at the start. Once again, replayability is a big plus! There is also a "Pass and Play" mode for playing with two people on the same device. A game editor allows you to place your marbles as you like. In short, a lot of content that fully justifies this digital version compared to the board game. However, the multiplayer does not work... I can't create an account to play. The servers must be down, I suppose, since the game has been out for a long time... It's a shame, but it's not really a problem if you want to practice against the computer. Finally, I find the game very visually pleasing: clean and colorful. The atmosphere is very zen. The game board is beautiful, and you can zoom in or out if needed. The music is repetitive, but it's not tiring. I find it encourages concentration and immerses us in this "Japanese" ambiance. In short, I highly recommend this game for solo play :)
