A Monk's Quest

Inspired by Terraria and Starbound, A Monk's Quest combines the exploration, combat, crafting, and building of a 2D sandbox adventure with living villages where every inhabitant has a life and a dream. 

Explore a vast, procedurally generated world spanning 8 biomes, from underground caverns and deserts to oceans and skies. Each biome has its own village, creatures, resources, and a powerful boss to overcome. Venture into the wild to gather resources and craft weapons, tools, and armor to survive. When you're faced with greater dangers, the friends you make in the villages may be the key to your success.

Get to know villages of blacksmiths, healers, mages, and martial artists whose skills and wares will help you on your journey. In addition to their work, each villager has a personal story, with troubled relationships, regrets about the past, and dreams for the future.

Form bonds with the villagers, earn their trust, and take on quests that span everyday tasks and deeply personal struggles. Master the art of prayer and guide them through fear, doubt, and sorrow. As you help villagers find happiness, gain the spiritual strength to confront the darkness threatening their world.

Build a home of your own with hundreds of building pieces and furnishings. Experiment with materials, decorate to your taste, and create a welcoming home to return to between your adventures.

Hone your combat skills against the monsters and spirits that roam the wilderness. Prepare for powerful enemies, uncover how to summon each biome's spirit boss, and defeat them to restore peace to the land.
