Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.5/day in the week to Aug 28 → 13.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A stylish short game. I bought it at half price, so about $4 which I feel like is the right price. Lovely art and music, and it felt very relaxed. The pacing was good, and the art was really pleasant. Overall very zen experience, it took me about 2 hours and I don't think there's much else to go back to once you've done the first run through. I do think the upgrades were a little railroaded. You couldn't really choose your own approach as the skill tree was almost entirely linear due to cost. In one sense this makes sense as it meant that the whole game had a smooth progression without some of the stalling you can get in other incremental games if you make bad choices, but on the other hand it kind of meant the skill tree was pointless and it could have just been an evolving mechanic that didn't pretend to give you options. I would still recommend as a nice way to pass a couple of hours!

Would give this a neutral rating if I could. Run of the mill incremental game. Didn't feel very rewarding and the end of the game just felt like grindy with no payoff. Decent time killer when you waiting for someone to play League with. Tried some of the other game modes but they didnt really feel different enough either. Buy when on super sale.
The demo was more fun than the full game. Bonus modes are boring and pointless. Waste of time and money
This review is based on 100% completion and 5.2 hours of gameplay.
Recommendation:
Would I recommend this game? Yes, I would. This is a really great game to relax and chill out with for a few hours. The gameplay loop is very simple but much more addictive than you would expect. It's perfect for breaking up games that require you to be on your toes all the time and just lets you switch off for a little while. First off, this game gets automatic points for one simple thing: it has a dark mode. I am a fiend for dark mode and will use it for everything if there is an option, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it right at the top of the settings when I first opened the game. For me, that feature alone is a huge win. It is also a testament to how well the game ran that I didn't experience any bugs or issues whatsoever. Clearly, the dark mode kept them all away. As everyone knows. The visuals are great. Everything is very simple, but it all works really well together. The colours are soft on the eyes while still being vibrant enough to look good, and the overall colour choices work really well. I did find that some of the modes can get a little full-on during the final few minutes before completing them. With everything proc-ing at once, there can be a lot of flashing on screen, but personally, I didn't have an issue with it. The sound design is also really good and complements everything well. The music is nice, and the actual game sounds, from the clicking to abilities proc-ing, all sound satisfying. Suffice to say, this doesn't feel like a cheap experience, which is nice. There is no story here. Just feed the hole. So it's perfect for switching off your brain and just playing. The gameplay is the main focus here and, for something so simple, it is very addictive and more than enough to keep your attention while playing. It has a good balance between gameplay and rewards, so you're constantly getting that little dopamine hit. There were only a few moments where I felt the wait for the next upgrade was a little long, but once you got it, you were quickly speeding back up again. The game also has a few different modes to choose from, and they are all nice in their own way. You have a base version, a roguelike mode, even a relaxing Zen mode and more. There is a decent amount of variety considering how simple the overall concept is. The typical gameplay loop is very straightforward. You do a little run for a few seconds, make some money, buy an upgrade, and then go again with the goal of growing the black hole a certain number of times. It's simple. It's addictive. It's great. I will say, though, that I personally don't see much replayability beyond completing each mode once, which is what I did. However, I can see people going back to improve their times and get faster runs if they wanted a bit more out of it. Overall, it's a great game to relax with for a few hours. It has a very simple concept and gameplay loop, but it will easily keep your attention while you're playing. I think the base price is fair for the five hours I got out of it, although I did pick it up at a 50% discount, so as always, I would recommend waiting for a sale if you can.
Achievement:
Achievements in this game are very easy and straightforward. You will just need to complete one run of each mode, without needing to fully upgrade the skill trees, alongside a couple of miscellaneous achievements. There are only two achievements you should really keep in mind:[olist] [*]Clear all objects: This is very easy to do in some of the other modes besides the base game and should come naturally as you play, but it's still worth keeping in mind. [*]Complete the roguelike mode: While this isn't overly difficult, it is the only mode where you can actually "fail" if you don't manage to grow the hole each round. Just be mindful of the upgrades you take. If you don't like your options, remember that you can reroll, so try to take the rarest upgrades that fit the build you're going for. The runs aren't particularly long either, so don't worry if you fail once or twice. [/olist] Overall, this is a very easy and fast 100% completion, and an enjoyable one as well. This game could probably cure your gambling addiction with all the flashing lights and BIG NUMBAAHZ It's nice, finished the main game in under 2 hours.
Too linear and the progression does not feel satisfying. You're basically just moving your mouse and then clicking a couple buttons. Rince and repeat. There's no strategy involved. I couldn't even bring myself to finish it as I was just bored and not having fun.
As a huge sucker for incremental games, A Game About Feeding A Black Hole - or Black Hole for short - had me coming away thinking “it’s fine”. Just fine. It’s quick, basic and simple. With so many idlers or incremental games being 1000+ hour monsters, I always enjoy booting up little bite-sized experiences in the genre - so the five-ish hour runtime to 100% complete the game, including all of the side modes, is not a negative in my eyes. We’ve seen Scritchy Scratchy, (the) Gnorp Apologue, and Factory Town Idle pull off the “mini incremental” experience really well in recent years. What gives me pause, though, is that Black Hole had already overstayed its welcome long before the five hours was up. There just isn’t enough variety in the systems and upgrades to keep it exciting, and most of the new toys you do unlock start out extremely underpowered. They all become very strong after some upgrades, but there’s no dopamine when you first unlock it, no burst of perceived power. I think back to the first time you can afford a brand new building in Cookie Clicker, and the instant jump from 10% speed to 500% speed that brings you, allowing you a brief period of what feels like insane progress until the game catches back up. It’s all by design, of course, and that burst of progress is already priced in. But it feels good, and in a game all about watching a number get bigger that’s an admirable feat of design. This isn’t to say it’s bad. It’s a neat concept, and the visual presentation is both stylish and cohesive; I’d even go as far to say it’s one of the most well-considered aspects of the game’s design. If you’re new to incremental/idler games and you can’t possibly understand what people find enticing about them, this might be a decent entry point. But if you’ve played a bunch of them already, then you’ve already played better versions of this game, and there likely won’t be much here for you.
Неплохой таймкиллер с несколькими вариантами игровых режимов. Смысл общий, подход немного разнится. Залипнуть одним вечером или растянуть на несколько сессий очень даже недурно.
The game is fun, that being said I wouldn't buy it at full price because as far as incremental experiences go this one is pretty barebones, it offers a bunch of diverse game modes that do very little in terms of adding replayability as some of them can be broken down into repeating runs just to buy the next perk until you've gotten all the perks, there is no strategizing around it or prestige systems that make it different. Visually it's as simple as it gets which can also be a deterrent to someone whose main enjoyment out of incremental games is some type of visual progression.
