Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

dissapointing
I am so unbelievably neutral to this game, but I suppose I did buy, play, and 100% it so... you could too

A Game About Digging A Hole is genuinely one of the greatest games ever made. I don't know how the developers managed to take the simple concept of digging a hole and turn it into something this unbelievably good. This isn't just a game. This is a life-changing experience. This is the kind of game that could cure world hunger. I've been waiting my entire life for a game like this. When I was a little boy, I would go outside and dig holes just because it was fun. And now, years later, I finally have a game that lets me experience that same beautiful childhood joy again without even needing to go outside. The gameplay is ridiculously satisfying. You dig, you find stuff, you go deeper, and somehow you never get tired of it. There's something incredibly relaxing about watching your hole get deeper and deeper. It's simple, but that's exactly why it works so well. The game also has that perfect feeling of discovery. Every time you dig further, there's always that little thought of "what am I going to find down here?" It's somehow more exciting than games with massive budgets and hundreds of mechanics. A Game About Digging A Hole is proof that you don't need a gigantic open world, 500 characters, or a $200 million budget to make something amazing. Sometimes all you need is a shovel, some dirt, and a dream. 10/10. Masterpiece. Revolutionary. Historic. This game didn't just bring back my childhood memories — it gave me the opportunity to dig holes again, and for that, I will forever be grateful.
I really wanted to like A Game About Digging A Hole. There is a simple, cozy satisfaction to brainless digging games, but this one is a blatant, low effort cashgrab. Built entirely with cheap and probably free assets, its core loop of digging, selling, and upgrading offers literally nothing you cannot play for free on Roblox or mobile. It's the absolute bare minimum slapped together to turn a quick profit. What ruins it completely is how it wastes your time. Forcing you to finish the entire game once just to unlock achievement tracking is a cheap trick, and putting a 30 minute speedrun achievement on top turns a short asset flip into a frustrating, padded grind. Unfortunately, this cynical trend is everywhere in budget games right now. Developers throw in arbitrary speedruns and hidden progression gates to pad out play hours, push completionists past the refund window, and fake a sense of challenge. I wanted a fun, mindless distraction, but instead, it’s just a lazy waste of money. Save your cash and play a free web clone instead.
it's mindless fun, ended up digging out the entire backyard lol
