It's a diamond in the rough. I bought the game years ago and I'm still playing it from time to time.

This is a well-built, polished experience, though I think the store descriptions are a bit misleading. The implication that I got, at least, was that this was a massively simplified grand strategy game. While everything said is technically correct, this game is more like a fast-paced auto-battler with elements of city management that feel most akin to an old Flash game. Which is not to say that this game is low-quality, or not worth your money: It absolutely is. I just think it's good to have a better understanding of what you're actually buying. You decide whether to build structures to get better economy or more troops, and then intermittently get attacked by arbitrary enemies and pit your existing troops against them. Then you try to rebuild your army while trying to stack your economy as hard as possible without becoming so greedy you die. There's also a secondary progression economy, faith, that allows you to pick from specific pools of buffs in what are effectively very tiny trees of five total options. These buffs are all very meaningful and can have very dramatic effects on your army, your economy, or both. The game is satisfying to play and offers meaningful choices, but it isn't like there's a map, or other factions, or a large pool of resources. What you get is what I described; an extremely polished game with a good number of options to grow power and economy that compete well against each other.
