Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Authentic Taiwanese Mahjong 3 is a digital adaptation of traditional Taiwanese sixteen-tile mahjong developed and published by SOFTSTAR ENTERTAINMENT. Rather than attempting to reinvent the classic tabletop experience, the game focuses on faithfully recreating the rules, atmosphere, and strategic depth that have made Taiwanese mahjong popular for decades. Combining multiple gameplay modes, customizable rules, voiced opponents, and several side activities, the title offers a comprehensive package for players who enjoy classic tile-based strategy games and are looking for a dedicated single-player mahjong experience. At its core, the game revolves around the traditional sixteen-tile rule set, which differs from many of the more internationally recognized mahjong variations. This immediately gives the game a distinct identity and appeals particularly to players familiar with Taiwanese mahjong traditions. The mechanics reward patience, observation, and strategic planning, requiring players to carefully build winning hands while adapting to constantly changing circumstances around the table. Every match becomes a contest of both calculation and intuition, creating an experience that remains engaging even after many hours of play. One of the game's most appealing aspects is its commitment to authenticity. The rules are designed to closely resemble real-world play, allowing experienced mahjong enthusiasts to enjoy a familiar environment without feeling that important mechanics have been simplified. The inclusion of adjustable settings and customizable scoring systems adds further flexibility, enabling players to tailor matches to suit their preferred style of play. This attention to detail helps the game function not only as entertainment but also as a practical digital alternative to physical mahjong sessions. The game offers multiple modes that help expand its longevity. Standard free-play matches provide the traditional mahjong experience, while tournament-style competitions introduce a greater sense of progression and challenge. There is also a story-oriented mode that attempts to connect matches through character interactions and themed scenarios. While the narrative itself is not particularly deep, it provides additional context and variety, making progression feel more structured than simply moving from one isolated match to another. A notable feature is the roster of computer-controlled opponents. Fifteen unique characters participate throughout the game, each bringing their own personality and voice performances. These characters help make matches feel more lively and engaging, especially for players who spend significant time in the single-player modes. The voice acting adds charm to the overall presentation and helps differentiate opponents beyond their playing styles. The strategic depth of mahjong naturally forms the backbone of the experience. Unlike action games that rely on quick reactions, Authentic Taiwanese Mahjong 3 rewards careful analysis and long-term planning. Players must evaluate potential hand combinations, monitor discarded tiles, predict opponents' intentions, and decide when to play aggressively or defensively. This creates a thoughtful and often highly satisfying gameplay loop that remains enjoyable because every match develops differently. Additional content comes in the form of several gambling-themed minigames that act as side attractions between mahjong sessions. These smaller activities are relatively simple compared to the main game but provide occasional variety and help prevent the overall package from feeling too repetitive. While they are unlikely to become the primary reason for playing, they contribute to the game's sense of completeness. Visually, the game reflects the era in which it was originally created. Character portraits, menus, and interface elements have a distinctly older design philosophy that may feel dated compared to modern tabletop adaptations. However, the presentation remains functional and easy to navigate. The focus is clearly placed on readability and accessibility during matches rather than flashy visual effects, which is appropriate given the strategic nature of the gameplay. The audio design complements the experience effectively. Character voices add personality to opponents, while sound effects provide useful feedback during gameplay. Background music remains subtle enough to avoid becoming distracting, helping players concentrate on strategy while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. The overall audio presentation may not be particularly memorable, but it supports the gameplay well. One of the game's biggest obstacles is accessibility for international audiences. Because the title is primarily designed for Chinese-speaking players, language limitations can make it difficult for newcomers unfamiliar with the language to fully understand menus, story content, and rule explanations. Players already familiar with Taiwanese mahjong may still be able to enjoy the gameplay itself, but the language barrier undeniably restricts the game's broader appeal. The age of the game also becomes apparent in several areas. Modern conveniences commonly found in contemporary board game adaptations are sometimes absent, and certain interface elements feel less refined than those found in newer releases. While these issues do not significantly impact the core mahjong experience, they can make the overall package feel somewhat outdated. Despite these shortcomings, Authentic Taiwanese Mahjong 3 remains a strong representation of traditional Taiwanese mahjong in digital form. Its faithful rule implementation, variety of gameplay modes, customizable settings, and strategic depth provide substantial value for fans of the game. The experience succeeds because it focuses on what matters most: delivering an authentic and enjoyable version of a beloved tabletop pastime. For players interested in learning or practicing Taiwanese mahjong, the game offers a solid foundation supported by numerous customization options and challenging AI opponents. Although its presentation shows its age and the language barrier may discourage some players, the quality of the core gameplay remains intact. It stands as a niche but rewarding title that successfully preserves a traditional form of mahjong within an accessible digital format. Rating: 6/10
