About
Entities known as The Originals have lived for centuries, granted time, granted power, and the freedom to abuse both. That power is now owed.
Noa Brooklyn was born The Collector, raised by the Zaindaris for a purpose she did not choose: taking that power back.
Explore a handcrafted Amsterdam by day. At night, uncover what lies beneath its surface. Every facade carries a gablestone. Not all of them tell the truth.
The Originals walk among Amsterdam’s citizens, hidden behind human faces. Identify them. Mark them. When the Esbat comes, confront them in their true form under the moon. Collect what is owed.
Noa commands witchcraft and spellcasting passed down through generations of Zaindaris. Each target can be approached in multiple ways. Strategy, timing, and choice define the outcome. Every Esbat is a reckoning.
Noa is not alone. Aaron, summoned from 1999, now sees the world through the eyes of a cat. Together, they are one: Switch between Noa and Aaron across two radically different playstyles. One wields witchcraft. The other has four paws and flair.

Beau graphique, beaucoup de problèmes de traduction, mouvement présentant des bugs et combats étants lents, pas équilibrés
It does indeed have quite a few bugs still, but the game will be very worth it as i believe. i enjoyed every minute yet. so if its too many errors for you now, dont look for EA games. But be sure to come back in time, as this is very promising.

Really great, but it still lacks some polish and hopefully it gets it during early access. I'll likely check back with each update and replay the early game. I really hope they improve the inputs while gliding on water, add spells that can be cast in real time during combat, and include a wider variety of attacks. PS: PLEASE add HDR natively? I used RenoDX HDR MOD to make it possible and the game looks way way better.
So far, I like it; the action is there, the story is great. My only issue is that the game lags a lot, especially during combat, which is understandable since it just released. If you're patient with that, you'll have fun playing it, in my opinion.
First off people have to understand this is literally the first few days of it's release into early access, it's going to be rough. Now that being said, I loved the story very interesting and the atmosphere was great. My only complaints were some inconsistencies in animation, the combat made it basically impossible to do spells during fights as by the time you focus on one person and start the press hold to do the magic you've been beaten to death by others and because of that I spent the game beating the guards and bosses to death with the broom. Which is ok but I did expect the ability to do more magic during combat or in general if I chose to rather than it feeling like I had to. The cat parts are fun and I enjoyed them, makes it different to other games out there. The finding information out about the bosses to take out isn't easy so gives you a challenge, you actually have to pay attention to what's being said and it'll give a hint then you wander around the hint location until you find it. Was annoying until I understood the hint gives a location to check and then when there you use your focus to find it or look for a letter near some men at the back of houses in one case. I also liked the fact searching a lot actually rewards you with potions that can seriously make a major difference. I really enjoyed the game, the rough patches they have plenty of time to fix those before full release. I hope people give it a chance to fix those before they just give up on it as this game has the chance to be a really good game that's really fun.
I CAN'T RECCOMEND IT MORE!!! I've never wanted to review a game before but Amsterdam 1666 is so far up my alley I'm already addicted. I know the game has recieved some contraversy with AI but i haven't noticed anything crazy sloppy so i don't really care tbh. If you're into witchy darker games this will be right up your alley, from the spells to the possessing everything feels immersive and seamless whilst being rewarding i.e. perfect cast timings yielding NUX, finding hidden entrances with the cat. The only criticism i have is that the world seems to block you off in respect to helping you find where to go to progress the story however I do enjoy that it doesn't hold your hand anymore than that it pushes you to explore and try diffferent interactions to get done what you need to do. My performance since the morning it came out has been around 90 fps on high at all times but i have heard some people are experiencing different. Overall gorgeous game filled with horror details and (so far) a really captivating story.
What, a. blast. What I thought would be a barely baked story this early on, turned into nearly 20 hours exploring this amazing game. The mechanisms are little bit similar to dishonored. The game rewards you for exploring the city and sneaking in to peoples houses, stealing their food and materials. This equips you with what you might need to create your potions, some for stealth, some for health, some for power and attack. It also equips your character with certain powers. In this game, your powers start as a trial run so to speak. You almost stumble across them or pick them like a lottery, and if your luck hits, and you love the power, then you better make sure you're well prepared before any boss fight. If you die against the boss, you are brought back to the moment before the fight, but your previously equipped powers are taken away on the basis that, "this hypothesis didn't work, try a new hypothesis". And this mechanism isn't so much a punishment, in fact it's pretty amazing because it gets you to come across all sorts of different options, and lets you build your character in a way that suits your playstyle best. And don't worry, if you really loved a power you got, and lost in the boss fight, you can find it again decrypted, and pick again should you fail against the boss again. I think this game is best suited for those who like a slow build. You explore quite a bit, and not necessarily by choice (though I do absolutely love exploring). The game doesn't spoon feed anything to you. If you need to get somewhere, they give you a name hint, a character hint, but you need to walk through the streets, and find that building. That's just the first step, then comes bypassing security, getting through maze like buildings, locked or barred doors, finding your loot, etc. The game perfect's Aarons role as well. I was worried that Aaron would end up just being a cute little gimmick I barely use, but I can honestly say I have probably used Aaron, and Aaron's conquests equally if not more than using my main Gal. In 20 hours, I've only had a freeze bug once. Not sure if its luck, or my set up, or the mods patching things up, but this game is very very playable. I was running the game on the max quality settings and I really had no issues at all apart from that one moment about 10 hours into the game. I cannot recommend this enough. If you have a solid set up, and you like exploring, you liked Dishonored, or Alan Wake or any one of those types of games, you really need to get this in Early Access. Don't wait, no need to. The only shame is there wasn't more to play just because I loved it so much. But I cannot fault a 20 hour game play this early into development. Fantastic, fun, beautiful, and I genuinely can't wait for more to come.
