About
ZeroSpace is a hybrid sci-fi RTS / RPG game that allows you to play as the commander of The Protectorate, a galactic force dedicated to securing humanity’s place in the galaxy. The Orion sector is locked in a vicious power struggle between many alien factions, all armed to the teeth and ready to fight to the death to achieve space dominance. Harness the latest warfare technology and recruit seasoned shock troopers and specialist crew members. Navigate through political turmoil as you make the hard choices needed to guarantee humanity’s place among the stars. But really the choice is yours. Don’t like the Protectorate? Pick a different faction, and wipe your opposition off the face of the galaxy.
Deploy infantry, artillery and air weaponry to dominate the battlefield. Engage in strategic buildcraft and troop deployment either solo, with a friend or against everyone. Orbital weapons, nuclear strikes, mechs are just some of the ingredients you get to play with. Pick your favorite arsenal and allegiance and lay waste to your enemies, scattering their burning carcasses among the Orion Sector.
Jump into an epic, cinematic saga of brotherhood in arms that spans the galaxy. Take on the mantle of Aster, Commander of the Protectorate, tasked with saving humanity from losing access to interstellar travel and receding into an age of darkness and ignorance. Engage in a cinematic RPG experience where your choices shape the future of the galaxy, then drop into the battlefields to execute on your strategies.
With 4 warring factions (3 active in pre-launch period), 7 mercenary factions and 14 distinct commanders all vying for power and dominance, you will have to use all your wit and strategic thinking to come out on top. Ally yourself with the right parties, build out your force, and protect the Orion sector.
A Caelo Ad Terram.
For centuries the Protectorate have been the stalwart defenders of humanity’s ventures through the Orion Arm, guarding against enemies foreign and domestic of the United Earth Spheres. As humanity’s galactic infrastructure teeters on the brink of collapse over a deficit of the resource “flux,” the Protectorate brings honed tactics and heavy firepower to bear. Field veteran commandos to deep strike enemy positions, or bring the heavy firepower of your mech divisions to break enemy lines.
Grow. Expand. Exterminate.
The Grell are a tide of highly evolved plant-like creatures that spawn sites of raw flux crystals through the galaxy, and humanity’s first contact with alien life. As external powers dive deeper into exploiting flux for faster than light travel, the once passive Grell have begun to flood across worlds, wiping out those who would threaten their biosphere. Expand your blooms by spreading the roots of your biomass across the battlefield, and rip apart your enemies with twisted evolutions from the acidic Harbinger to the rampaging Reaver.
Across a Million Worlds, We March.
The Legion of Truth are a fanatical empire from beyond the reaches of known space, devoted to their Emperor and a pantheon of god-like beings. Their armies crusade across the cosmos, bringing all in their path under the Idals, and purging those unwilling or unable to accept the voice. Drown your enemies with waves of expendable Thralls and Fanatics, and break your enemy under the treads of the titanic Terror Tank, a mobile fortress that can reconfigure with the tide of battle.
For Purpose. For Survival.
The Xol are civilization of autonomous robotic consciousness, brought to the brink of extinction by the dark crusade of the Legion. Though fiercely individualistic, they are united by one imperative: survival. As the tide of annihilation turns against them, the Xol will bring the most advanced robotics technology in the galaxy to bear, wield the accumulated genius of their society, and wipe out all who threaten their future.
Rank to become the dominant battle group in the sector as you take part in a living, breathing galaxy shared by thousands of real players. Defend your territory and conquer neighboring planets by leading a vast armada of troops, aliens, creatures, vehicles, and heavy weaponry- all for the glory of your alliance.

ZeroSpace feels good to play. As a lifelong fan of real-time strategy games in general and of StarCraft 2 specifically, there's an incredibly high bar set for any new entry into the genre. ZeroSpace is smart in that it streamlines many of the rote tasks that stress the player's multitasking in similar games. Largely automated resource collection, global hotkeys for production, and global hotkeys for abilities/spell casting lead to less time tabbing through squads and fiddling with control groups while you're trying to focus on a fight. The addition of comeback mechanics in the form of faction power, which you gain as your units are lost, makes multiplayer less punishing and means a lost fight isn't necessarily a lost game. Fans of competitive multiplayer should check out the weekly ZeroSpace tournaments beginning September 1, especially if you're still on the fence. I'll comfortably recommend ZeroSpace in its current early access state for any fans of RTS who enjoy either the excitement of an evolving PvP scene or fans of multiplayer PvE. ZeroSpace's PvE co-op mode (the Galactic War) is very comparable to StarCraft 2's co-op mode, with an added level of meta-progression and inter-faction battling happening in the background. For campaign-focused gamers, the current missions are solid, but I suggest waiting until full release to experience the campaign once it's fully polished. I'll be looking forward to it.

I love the story, game play reminds me of starcraft. It has a great deal of potential, still in early access so...
