About
Humanity emerges, hesitantly, into ruination. Almost nothing is left of the world as we knew it—settlements, forests, seas, mountains—all have been blasted into unfamiliarity. Horribly mutated animals hunt in packs through deformed woodland. Decrepit military robots stumble unknowingly through the ruins, sensors and logic centres blown. Alien soldiers, once impossibly powerful, cower in the wrecks of their ships, praying to heedless gods for rescue.
Control the survivors of humanity in a near-future apocalypse of alien origin. Pick a path between the indifferent abominations of the Voice and the uncaring automata of ZEPHON, with city management, turn-based tactical combat, unholy research, diplomatic maneuvering, and branching narrative quests. Gather your allies and pick your actions wisely.
On the planet Earth, that was once a cradle of life, the extinction of humanity is at hand.

“Open your eyes, singleton. You are not dreaming—you are the dream. The old world is dead, your old self is dead, so who are you now? We were the Meek, the Silent, and the Accomplice. Individually we were no one, together we are god itself. Woo us, fear us, worship us… these are all acceptable answers to the riddle of what you can do for us.”

Fantastic thrilling fun and beautiful game!

Disclaimer: I have only played part of one match. My opinion might change with more experience. But I don't have much desire to have more experience with the game. So I'm writing a review now. Zephon definitely doesn't feel as fun as Gladius. It throws in excessive "events" with annoying choices, like some more complex strategy games. Problem is, it doesn't fit in a small-scale strategy game like this. Each time one pops up, I find myself rolling my eyes, thinking, "Ugh. What now?" If the game had more factions, less awkward events thrown in your face, and less attempts at stuffing a shallow story into the game, I think it would be fun. Should I manage to play more and have some fun, I'll change my review.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It is very similar to Gladius. The focus is on war and i like this focus. Every turn makes fun and has action - other strategy games doesn`t has this drive. The graphic is good and the animations are better than in Gladius. With Zephon, they created a SF-Szenarion which is very atmospharic. I prefer the robot-faction (hello Matrix!) and also the Alien Monsters. The only thing that could be improved is the fact, that there are only three facions. Ok there are many lords with interesting specilities, but in comparison with gladius with the Warhammer Universe behind this is not so much. But i really like the game and i hope for more factions in the future :)
Great 4X gameplay, but the music is what truly sets it apart from other indie developers. Truly atmospheric and engrossing.
It's good, better than I expected. The combat and units are fun, and the world and story are interesting. Very rarely do I get interested in game world building or stories these days, so this was a pleasant surprise. My biggest complaint is replayability is a bit low; the game loop is fun, but the differences between rounds don't feel big enough.
This game is trash... I am a big fan of Gladius and I would be ok with a carbon copy with a different skin, but somehow, Zephon fails to do even that. I really want to like this game, but there is nothing here - all the flaws of Gladius get exacerbated by flaws of Zephon. The AI just outright cheats - it is nothing uncommon in this sort of games, but here the devs even gave up on the illusion on being fair. When you check unit effects, all the AI units have the 50% accuracy debuff for not having resources to upkeep the unit for more than 5 turns, yet the AI still ♥♥♥♥♥ the units from thin air somehow. It becomes so tiresome to carefully protect your every unit, trying to build your economy, while the AI just sends waves and waves of trash your way, slowly grinding down your forces and your mental health. Speaking of economy - it is awful. In Gladius, the elite units just cost a lot of resources. Here, you have an unnecessary tier of "advanced" resources that are just another roadblock for the player (the AI does not care). That would not be that bad, if it wasn't for the biggest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanic in existence of bad games - the Loyalty resource. Basically, Loyalty is just another brake that pretty much only affects the player. Every city decreases your loyalty in ALL your cities. Every pop decreases the loyalty in the particular city. Every point of loyalty means either increase (when it is positive) of all production in the city, and vice versa. You need your cities to grow in order to provide pop for all the buildings. You also need housing for the population to grow. You also need to keep the loyalty high, which requires buildings. So half of the time you build stuff not for your situation to get better, but not to deteriorate. Meanwhile, the AI gets insane bonuses with increasing difficulty (30% bonus loyalty on Very Hard, netting it 30% production bonuses from the Turn 1). It is just a dumbass way how to prevent you from snowballing, except there is no snowballing, there is just a frustrating grind. Diplomacy is a joke. It does not matter, because at some point a "Last days of Earth" event triggers and you have to either join one of the sides or stay neutral and fight both. The standing and alliances you have while the event triggers do not mean anything. Only benefit from diplomacy is trading, which gives you a minor gain of resources from trade agreements. So are there any positives? Yes. The world looks cool, the unit design is nice, I like the IP in general. However, the game is clearly not finished and deeply, deeply flawed. But hey, there is already a ton of DLC you could buy! Buy only on extreme discount and even if you do, ye have been warned, matey... 3/10
