Terrible. Waste of time
Oh boy... is it possible to give 3.5 stars to this game instead of a whole-ass thumbs up?? I do enjoy this game more than a lot of other pinball games on Steam due to its selection (via DLC) and extensive options for multiple things. It's always a good sign when a pinball video game lets you play in "tate mode" and has plenty of optimization options. I like how even though they recycle themes they use entirely different table designs -- for example, there are 12 completely distinct tables based on the Postal series. Some of the tables are so easy that I don't know when I'll be done like Farafelia Deluxe, but also there's some that are so challenging like one of the classic Blackbelt ones where I have to keep tilting to help my ball stay alive. But what really prevents me from recommending this game completely is that for their DLC tables they have begun replacing some of the art for the modern styled games with AI slop. Given, much of this AI art fits their previous art styles but I still would rather they didn't do this. You can always just buy the tables that don't use slop but it's difficult to navigate the DLC selection and know which ones are which. Think of the thirsty people of the world. Y'all are lucky so much else in the game is still good or this would be a thumbs down.

For pinball fans, this is the place to be. The game perfectly captures the feel of the good old days of classic pinball machines, especially when played in VR. It features a wide variety of tables, each with plenty of achievements to unlock. If you're a trophy hunter, you'll smile. There are a 5,000 achievements to earn! As for the use of AI-generated artwork, I think it fits the game's style well. It reminds me of the retro aesthetic from that era, and I don't feel it takes away from the experience in any way.
I purchased the DLC pack a while back only to return to the game and find all of the original artwork has been replaced with AI generated versions. On top of that, the game's performance is also worse. This was not the game I bought, and the AI disclaimer wasn't present when I made the purchase. I'm very disappointed by these issues and the fact that there's no way to switch to the 2020 build of the game, before they made all these forced changes, leaves me rather hurt and almost feeling insulted for supporting the company only for them to change the game I bought. I'd like to refund ALL DLC for the game, but it's not eligible due to me having played over 2 hours PRIOR to the change, this isn't what I purchased, and I don't want to support the company anymore. This feels like a real slap on the face, like "Ha ha, look at this idiot who TRUSTED us!" I'm not wholly against AI, and I understand Magic Pixel using it to aid in translation efforts. I myself have used it to help with database sorting, but there is NO reason to take perfectly good artwork and run it through an AI, objectively making the artwork work less, and worth less. At the very least, they should allow people to revert to the original branch and play the unaltered tables. We deserve better than for our purchases to be sabotaged retroactively, and this is the exact reason why the whole game's industry is in turmoil. When we pay for something, we expect that thing, not a rug pull. I used to enjoy this game, not like crazy, but I played it every now and then. To come back to THIS!? Screw it, I'm going to make my OWN pinball game with NO AI slop instead of charging $200 for a worse version of what was previously available.
With a vast selection of tables from retro to deluxe, there's a lot to enjoy here, and will appeal to every level of player. One nice feature they have over their biggest competitor (FX) is that they INCLUDE the backglass images for cab mode, so you don't have to scour the internet trying to find the right ones with the correct file names. The tables play smoothly with no issues. Recommended! NOTE: Yes, they use AI images to keep costs down, but are you playing pinball to have fun shooting targets and ramps, or are you going to just stare at the images yelling "AI bad!"? If it's the latter then feel free to go out and buy a real pin with real artwork for 6k instead of a virtual rendition for 6 bucks. Your choice.
JUEGAZO 😎👍💛🌟
I've tried a lot of virtual pinball games and this game has the most fun physics out of all of them. The tables feel very physical and a lot like playing a real pinball table. There's a lot of variety in the tables. Almost all of them are at least okay in quality and there are some great tables among them. The retro tables split opinions since their design is unconventional and they're quite luck based, but I enjoy the weird designs and their challenge. The meta aspects like tournaments and quests add to the fun and give you a purpose to playing the game. They encourage you to play tables you normally wouldn't play. There's a lot of customization options, if you own the DLC that adds them. They allow you to customize the camera, lighting, look of the ball etc. to exactly how you want them to be. It was great to be able to set up the game exactly to how I want it to look like. The review score is relatively low compared to the game's quality because some of the tables use AI assisted art. Most of it looks fairly good, although some of the art does have the generic AI look to them. It's unfortunate that they used it since AI art has ethical issues, but it's not a deal breaker for me when the game is otherwise very well made. The tables are reasonably priced, especially if you use the bundles and wait for sales. The platinum pack might look very expensive, but that's because it has tons of content in it. It's worth it if you enjoy the game and want lots of tables, as the price per table is cheap.
Pertes de balles beaucoup trop fréquentes et pas anticipables. Impression de jouer à un jeu de hasard comme à la roulette.
