Very cute puzzle game that tells a short but great story. Banger soundtracks too.
Unskippable intro On 1024x768 I cant see character starting position https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3332895630 or change resolutions in settings https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3332895608
Short and sweet. Really enjoyed this. Music is a banger too. Definitely recommend especially for the price if you're looking for a neat little experience.

I can't believe this game about a frog in swim trunks made me cry. The gameplay, centered around picking up and placing blocks, works very well. There are a good number of mechanics for the hour it'll take you, and they evolve and are recontextualized in ways that you'd want from a puzzler. They never get super difficult, but there are some optional puzzles to gather collectibles/story bits that require a bit more cleverness. The story is what got me. It's simple (it has to be for this run time), but elegantly told and extremely potent. I don't want to spoil what the game is *about*, because it's about more than just a frog stuck in a hole. But isn't it crazy when a game has honest-to-god narrative themes? And when they're sincerely told? You will probably see the ending coming, but the way it works itself out is so wonderful that I had to take a lap around the house. Echoing another reviewer here, but I'm so excited for what Matt Goode has next. This game is special, no doubt, and I want to see what he can make with a larger scope/budget. Special shoutout to the music. Very few games of this scale have adaptive music, not to mention of this high quality. Reminds me a lot of Lena Raine's music in Celeste. It's far, far moodier than it has any right to be. Why are you still reading this? This game is incredible, and it's only $1.99. Buy the frog game.
Play a beachfrog looking for a way out of the deepest sandpit on the beach in this block-shifting puzzle platformer! The puzzle difficulty tickles the brain juuuuust right in its short run time - great showing for a first time dev!
Short. Sweet. Cute. Lovely and plentiful music for a game of this size. Adorable running animation. Absolutely worth your time.
It's a good little platformer, worth the time it takes to complete. My only critique is that it doesn't seem to explore it's own mechanics all the way through. There was a cool technique you could do wherein you dangle off a ledge by holding a wide block that touches the surface of another block, but despite me finding this and thinking 'oh that's cool, wonder which puzzle will need this' it never came up. So... Please make more content with harder puzzles mister Dev! I'd happily pay for a DLC with another adventure in it. Keep up the good work. :)
YOU HAVE TO PLAY THIS no really, do it.
The puzzles are really nice and just at a perfect difficulty my opinion. I don't like that the window can't be resized. No fullscreen is available. You have to override the dpi settings if you are using a 4k monitor. (moving it over to a lower res monitor doesn't fix it). I don't understand why a fullscreen option is not available. I have worked with Godot before and it's trivial to let the user resize the window if you jsut check out the project settings. Sure the game is "cheap" but I do not think that is a good enough excuse. The resolutions of the sprites are not uniform either, there are mixels everywhere so that can't be the reason why the window size is locked.
Really good music and interesting puzzles!
