Sort of satisfies the craving for a 3d collectathon like Banjo Kazooie, but kinda janky
It is not an easy game by any means and it requires quite a bit of thought to progress to the next level. The graphics are spectacular though.
this is the BEST game of all time 10/10 would recomend anyone to play fr fr ong ong

Honestly, it felt like the game didn't need a remaster, it just needed updated QoL and TLC. But, way too late to the party anyway. Regardless. a fun homage to Banjo-Kazooie! The worlds are much less memorable, along with the hub being fairly boring, and too much backtracking. Obviously, buy the rerelease if interested.

This used to be my favorite game when i was younger, and found it really hard, i recently replayed it and its still really fun, the movement humor combat and graphics are all good, and the final boss fight is still really hard. if you have played or heard of banjo kazooie and liked it this game is like those. 8/10
Yooka-Laylee appeals to nostalgia by mimicking Banjo-Kazooie, but ultimately this just invites unflattering comparisons. If you're feeling nostalgic for Banjo-Kazooie, go replay Banjo-Kazooie. (It holds up amazingly well.) Yooka-Laylee's bland and tedious level designs are not really worth the time.
Pros

+Nice art style and presentation
Cons

-Worlds feel too large and empty
-Doesn’t really feel engaging
Comments Yooka-Laylee is an open world platformer that has a decent start. The first part of the opening world was alright, but once I unlocked the second half, it felt like it was easy to get lost, especially without a map. Once I moved onto the second world, it felt large and there seemed to be a lot of empty areas. At this point, I lost interest since the game didn’t feel engaging or fun. Overall, I don’t recommend this game. There’s a remake of this game called Yooka-Replaylee, which seems to have better reviews compared to this version. While I haven’t played the remake, that game might be worth taking a look at over this one.
Playtonic nailed it. Yooka-Laylee successfully brings back the golden age of Rare-style collectathons, and for fans of Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64, that alone is worth the price of admission. The five worlds are colorful, fun to explore, and feature a clever expansion mechanic — collect enough Pagies and you'll unlock new areas or reveal entirely hidden sections of each world, keeping exploration fresh and rewarding. The collectables are varied, the skill progression feels good, and backtracking never once felt like a chore. That said, the game isn't without its rough edges. The camera can be frustrating, controls feel slightly unresponsive at times, and some activities — a couple of bosses, Rextro's minigames, Doc Puzz's transformations, and especially Kartos's races — don't quite reach the fun level of the main adventure. A remaster is available now, so hopefully some of these issues have been ironed out. On the bright side, the humor is very much in the Rare spirit — genuinely funny at times — and the soundtrack by David Wise and Grant Kirkhope is an instant playlist addition, no questions asked. Overall, Yooka-Laylee is a charming, nostalgic love letter to 3D platformers that entertains despite its imperfections. I'll definitely be checking out The Impossible Lair next.
Es un juego meh, si bien no es el peor, el banjo kazoie es mejor.
