If you are a fan of twin-stick shooters, you should try this. And you should especially try this if you're a fan of TS shooters with progression and dozens of arsenal customization options. The huge number of weapon types, and the different parameters that open up with each, should satisfy anyone with that itch. The production value of the game is extremely high, the multiplayer works well in my experience and is really fun. This game needs more attention. I don't post many reviews but I want to implore you to give this one a try; there's a free demo. NO MORE EXCUSES. TRY IT.

online co-op does not work

You can tell developers have put a lot of time and energy into a great game when the story is good, the voice acting is superb, and the character development almost becomes a game unto itself. That's not even counting the realism of the combat mechanics which employ just enough "arcade"elements to make the whole thing addictive. This is not a game like that. At all. And yet it's still a heck of a lot of fun. The only story is that you're a hyper space dragon, trying to save universe. Character development is limited to how you outfit your space dragon with various weapons and upgrades. Combat mechanics are about as simple as possible: point your cursor at stuff, click a button or two until it's dead, repeat. Still, this bullet-hell game is geared towards twitch junkies, so simple mechanics are overshadowed by the intense gameplay. No, really, this is a lot of fun. It's difficult, too: I finished the campaign on "Easy", and I can't imagine playing certain sections of it on a higher difficulty. You'll spend time trying to unlock all the ship options/upgrades, because there are tons, and they all impact how you play. There are only 10 Steam achievements, which was a bit of a disappointment for me. There are times when you survive simply by luck, which for a twitch gamer is a bit frustrating. In-game instructions are skimpy, which for a simple game isn't a huge problem - but I kept discovering little things about how the ship upgrades worked, and I would have liked to know about them upfront. I like the graphics quite a bit. They're sharp and colorful without being too cartoony. There's enough humor sprinkled throughout the game to make you chuckle from time to time.

Pretty fun top-down shooter. No idea how co-op works, but as a single player it was fun.

super Spiel, bis auf den Schwierigkeitsgrad. leicht sollte auch wirklich leicht sein. Egal welche Schiffskonfiguration, irgendwann hat man selbst auf leicht keine Chance mehr, Gegner von allen seiten. Wer programmiert nur so ein Frust?
