X Rebirth VR Edition

Janky ass VR port with no support. I was hoping it would have some really cool VR space environments and it does. Rebirth is an odd game in the X universe, two steps back and one step forward kinda thing. The one step forward was the sense of travel and movement around celestial bodies. That works wonders in VR and it's the reason I vote recommended here. The game is much smaller then X3/X4 but more focused on "wow" space anomalies which works good since its a VR game. Use a Xbox360 controller, their VR controller controls are terrible on index knuckles. It works on Index and other headsets I've tested. I had to add -openvr_force_proximity to the launch options for it to detect my headset. I can't enter bars or other areas on VR? The doors don't open, but they work in normal Rebirth. Apparently they couldn't get that to work? There's no snap turning and no vignette for nausea reduction. No VR accessibility basically. I'd say this is worth $5-$10, so if you want space VR for that price its worth it. If you don't want to grind to see spacy stuff, get alex cheat menu light, drop it in extensions, turn it on and go galaxy -> reveal galaxy map. Then galaxy -> jump and pick a sector to jump to. Devs: Make X4 VR when its feature/DLC complete. Even a half assed version like this would be better then nothing.

les controles était déja difficile avec les controleurs vr mais maintenant qu'on n'a plus le choix "manette" c'est pour la fuidité, mais l'ergonomie et les controles reste infect et j'ai encore abandonné au bout de 4 heures et pourtant ce jeux me tente mais il sait me rapeler qu il est injouable en vr

The game is fine, but the VR experience isn't. Flying the ship, navigating, and combat are all challenging but manageable. However, walking around space stations immediately gives me motion sickness. I’d love to play for more than 30 minutes at a time, but I just can't.

Mit X2 Die Bedrohung angefangen aus der Computerbild... X2: Die Bedrohung (The Threat) ​X3: Reunion ​X3: Terran Conflict ​X3: Albion Prelude ​X4: Foundations Inklusive vielen Erweiterungen... Nach der X4 Flaute nun das Spiel X Rebirth VR. Ich war schon immer davon begeistert wobei die Steuerung des X2 am besten war man konnte ganze Xenon Sektoren auslöschen weil man super driften konnte. Aber bleiben wir bei X rebirth vr. Im Sale gekauft u d absolut empfehlenswert auch wenn das ein oder andere nicht sauber läuft oder funktioniert, es ist sehr schön umgesetzt und das ist somit wieder ein X Spiel das mir super Spaß macht. Die gesten Steuerung ist sehr schön, die Grafik ist sauber und klar, diese Gesten Funktion mit dem zeigefinger könnte ausgereifter sein aber im ganzen ist die Steuerung sehr schön das gefällt mir. Dieses Highway System finde ich persönlich schlecht, das fand ich schon in den alten Spielen schlecht, weiß nicht mehr welches aber dieses Spiel läuft sehr schön es ist wirklich eine gelungene Version, ein "altes Spiel" in VR und doch etwas neues und zugleich völlig anderes. Es wäre schön wenn man die Stationen betreten könnte anstatt nur die Lande Plattform und ja es wird immer so sein das ich es vermissen werde das man nur ein einziges Schiff hat, ich mochte es früher sehr meinen fetten Split Kreuzer zu steuern oder das langweilige Transportschiff. Diese VR Version ist jedenfalls gelungen und seit Jahren wieder ein X Spiel das ich empfehlen kann und gerne spiele, ich hoffe auf Updates 👍

Very Good Game

With much sadness i have to not recommend, sad because its in fact a very well implemented vr game. - XRebirth without the yisha campaign isn't xrebirth, sorry. - The sense of scale is wonderful, but such a complicated game really prefers to be played in 2d, even though the menu implementation is fantastic. - I got very motion sick from this. The first step of the default campaign start did this, not the best.

Developers! Everything is very cool! But if you had added a full VR avatar body, and the ship control was not through buttons but with the help of a VR body in VR space interacting with all sorts of levers, this would have been a top game until 2035! Roll out DLC with new ships for the player and the game will become a cannon! Oh, what are you saying! Leave licking the flat version of the game and make something for VR players! Please!
