Fantastic game, beyond worth the 2 bucks when it's on sale. First hour can be a bit slow but it picks up a ton after. Game has similar mechanics to Metal Gear Solid, while having an fascinating universe and lore. Overall I was very surprised by the quality of the game, it's VERY unassuming to say the least.
The controls are just plain terrible, turning the game into a chore to control the character. But the final straw was the game crashing to dektop on me at the end of the first mission. Refund please.

I guess I just don't like that the game has no option to save when you want to. It looks very promising as it offers you arenas that you can explore, and it seems like the game wants to encourage exploration, by leaving extra points in hidden areas. Unfortunately, it also makes exploration very annoying due to a lack of the ability to save when you want to. Each time I die, I'm forced to watch a death animation and restart from the latest checkpoint, which takes a couple of minutes. I'm sure you can understand that if the game say leaves bonus points next to a cliff, and you die in the process of trying to get those points and have to replay a short section of the map to again get to those points it feels like your exploration is punished not rewarded. It all could be fixed with a better save system, I think. Don't take my opinion that seriously I've only played this game for a little less than an hour but in this time: - I had to fix a bug that made the game unplayable (if you get a black screen turn of shaders) - I've played the tutorial 3 times (since I had something else to do and had to turn off my PC mid-tutorial and that means replaying from the start of the game each time), and yes there is an unskippable intro & no save option for the first couple of minutes of the tutorial mission - I died 4 times in the first "real" mission, and had to replay a small section of the map each time. So in an hour I only really completed a tutorial. The game looks interesting don't get me wrong, and I encourage you to give it a try nonetheless (especially if it's on sale), but I can't recommend it, so I refund.
Game keeps crashing during the tutorial section, there's no autosave and no place to save before or during the tutorial. After the third time the game crashed I am tired of trying.
there might be a cool game there, but it randomly crashes and there's no reliable save feature, so it's just potentially a waste of time
Fun little game. I especially liked the puzzles and boss fights. A bit janky and confusing at times but an overall charming and nostalgic experience.
Hesitant to say I recommend this one... but I enjoyed most of the time I had with it. Consider this an "ehhhhhhhh...." from me. Get it on sale and check it out yourself. Positives: - Hard to describe, but it's a basic immersive sim game with solid stealth elements. There are some nice gameplay details I enjoyed. The gunplay is quite fun. - The home base and how you get paid is quite comfy and enjoyable. - The Worlds (2016) themselves are fun to explore and interact with. - PS2 type visuals and atmosphere. - Runs well (once set up.) Negatives: - The game has a lives system. It's very inconsistent. You use up a life to load from a checkpoint. But if your last checkpoint was a save point, you still use a life, and have to restart the game to load the game without using up a life. - Absolutely horrible platforming. You'll die instantly if you fall off into the void and this'll use up a lot of your lives. 95% of my deaths in this game were falling like that. I do like the death cutscene of your character falling though. Also, unkillable entities show up during one of these and they can pull you a little bit and make you miss jumps. Very, VERY, frustrating. - Some of the puzzles are obtuse and hard to solve. - I can't tell what's intentional and what's a glitch. One time my target ran away from me because i had a gun out, ran out of the building. Never saw him again, but because I saved afterwards (Good practice, with that lives system) I think I might have softlocked myself. Either idiotproof the game, or let me save/load whenever. You only get one save slot by the way. If you're on Linux, you need to run the game once, then set "shaders = 0" in worlds.cfg.
