About
Welcome aboard! You are but one of many captains on the high seas. Trade, loot, explore, and wage war as you fight for control, glory, and riches! Will you fade as a nameless wreck or rise as a legend feared by foes and honored by allies?
From a modest schooner to a gigantic man o’ war and beyond, you’re at the helm of your fine journey, Captain. Featuring over 50 upgradable and customizable historical ships from the Golden Age of Sail - schooners, galleons, brigantines, frigates, and so much more - the Archipelago rarely sees the same ships wandering the deep.
Sail ho! Enemy ship on the horizon! Man your ship and show off the menacing captain that you are by engaging in epic PvE or PvP Naval Battles! Use round shots, heated shots, chain shots, and many more to beat the odds and become a feared ruler of the seas!
Set sail into the unknown as you push past the edges of the map into the Endless Sea - uncharted, untamed, and full of mystery. Amass enough gold, and you can claim your own private island - an outpost of power where fleets are mended and riches flow in from distant mines and workshops.
Gold fuels everything - and how you earn it is up to you. Raid merchant ships for loot, build trade empires through production chains, transport rare goods between regions, or fish the seas for profit. Whether through battle or business, fortune favors the bold.
While sailing solo has its pros, it can be incredibly risky. Team up with friends or form a crew and rule the seas. For larger battles and deeper strategy, join a guild and dive into port wars, politics, and the race for dominance across the Archipelago!

after 4 hours of play I'm hooked. It's a blast to play and easy to learn to play. if you like old ship combat like myself I strongly recommend giving world of sea battles a go.
Great fun. Can peace flag it whilst you get to grips and fight NPC's or jump in with Pirate/Faction flags and battle other daring captains! Great guild's or solo action.

Soon as I joined, everyone on the world chat said this was an EvE player's retirement home, and I agree. If you're like me, who played ~600 hours of EvE and didn't understand a single thing nor progressed very far, then this game is for you. Very lovely :)

Great game, monetization is questionable but it wont take anything away from enjoying the game and all of its systems

Incredible Game. Goated. 100% Aura. On the freemium aspect: I've read how many people worry and whine about in-game payments (IGP). The game is perfectly playable without any purchases; sure progression takes longer, but gameplay and world map are complex enough that you have different resource streams to still get things done. I really see this as a worrywart behaviour: devs should get compensated for their work regardless, doing so with IGP without breaking the game balances is incredible on their end and demands respect. Gameplay: smooth, allows for vastly different playstyles (chill merchant, ravenous pirate, and everything in between). You can really play different games depending on what you feel like doing that game. The resource management aspect really caters to my mind and progression is genuinely addicting. You just want to build them ships you know. Graphics: pleasant even during long sessions! I guess the landscape is natural enough for human brains to tolerate high volumes of hours in-game. Regardless, the sunsets and sunrises are amazing, the GFX are fantastic and really enjoyable. Playing with friends: This is what sets this game apart from other MOBAs or MMORPGs - playing this game with friends is 1000x more fun and still allows for party members to each mind their own quests and only help each other out sporadically. Alternatively you can hunch together in a death squadron and sink anything that sails. Again, a lot of flexibility and choice here, making it one of the best multiplayer games I have ever touched. Machine: Dell XPS9510 - Intel i7 + RTX3050 Ti + Win11 Bonuses: YARRRR Issues: * game crashes on ~2min monitor session (big no no) * graphics optims and most importantly distribution across servers (like carrying play state files across servers) are still missing * the game is in pre-beta and still has a while to go to reach its true potential, which appears massive to me Overall: 82/100
