1- If there's a bug in the current faction system, why wasn't it fixed with a hotfix and announced to all players? 2- You can't fix existing bugs manually, to the detriment of players and guilds. 3- People are spending money on this game, and the result is that their hard work is wiped out by just one intervention? 4- How can we know if there's a bug? There's no explanation regarding the calculations. 5- If the system you're showing works, one guild could remove 90% of all guilds from their faction. 6- This system is very open to abuse, and what will be the reaction of the guilds and players, and how will they feel about the game, if an active guild that joins next season removes all the guilds? 7- Also, this system threatens other smaller guilds with expulsion, causing them to vote against it. If 10 guilds on Spain faction have only collect 2300/11450 votes by bullied small guild to vote and opening ticket to their "Friend Admins and Developers" for get kicked TURKS this also show that WOSB allowing Racism and Toxicty and supporting these people. There is no fair, transparent, or professional management.
# World of Sea Battle — A Great Pirate Game Undermined by Its Own Design **Rating: 3/5** World of Sea Battle has the foundation of an exceptional pirate sandbox. The naval combat is engaging, sailing feels meaningful, progression gives you something to work toward, and the persistent world creates the possibility for genuinely memorable encounters. Unfortunately, the deeper I got into the game, the more I realized that many of its systems actively work against the freedom that should define a pirate sandbox. The biggest problem is simple: **solo and small-group play are not meaningfully viable at the higher levels of the game.** There is nothing wrong with large guilds having advantages. Organization, coordination, diplomacy, and numbers should matter in a persistent multiplayer world. But there is a significant difference between rewarding organized groups and designing the game in a way that makes joining one effectively mandatory. A pirate sandbox should support multiple identities. You should be able to become a lone pirate hunting merchant ships. You should be able to operate a small crew with friends. You should be able to trade, explore, work as a mercenary, become a privateer, hunt other players, or join a massive guild and fight territorial wars. Those playstyles should coexist. Instead, World of Sea Battle increasingly funnels players toward large guilds and the political ecosystem surrounding them. Having personally participated in three large guilds, this eventually became exhausting. Alliances, rivalries, territory disputes, diplomacy, internal disagreements, Discord conversations, and interpersonal politics gradually become a significant part of the experience. For players who enjoy that environment, great. It should absolutely exist. **But it should be optional.** Guild politics should emerge naturally from the sandbox. They should not become the price of admission for participating meaningfully in the game. This design also creates a larger community problem. When progression and endgame content become concentrated around established organizations, new and independent players are naturally pushed toward those same power structures. Over time, the world becomes dominated by entrenched groups rather than populated by independent captains, small crews, opportunistic pirates, traders, mercenaries, and competing factions. That makes the world feel smaller rather than larger. The developers have an opportunity to fix this. Create meaningful progression paths for solo captains. Give small crews objectives they can realistically contest. Build economic and PvP systems that allow independent players to influence the world without requiring membership in a major guild. Create reasons for large organizations to interact with independent players rather than simply absorb or overpower them. Most importantly, embrace what makes the fantasy appealing in the first place: **Freedom.** I should be able to raise my sails, leave port, and decide what kind of pirate I want to be that day. That freedom is what could make World of Sea Battle exceptional. And that is ultimately why this review is frustrating to write. This isn't a fundamentally bad game. Quite the opposite. There is a genuinely excellent game buried underneath some questionable design philosophy. The combat is there. The ships are there. The world is there. The foundation is there. The developers simply need to stop treating large-scale guild participation as the inevitable destination for everyone. Give players their independence back. Let guilds build empires. Let small crews become infamous. And let the lone captain sailing over the horizon have a place in the world too. That's what a pirate sandbox should be.
Until they clean up the game chat, I can't recommend the game. The puffery, even for a PvP game, is excessive. The constant dropping of slurs is ridiculous. Reporting someone and seeing them still playing days later tells me the devs don't care.
nice on the surface but its way to grindy pay to win and some of the most toxic players i have ever seen
I've played world of warships for 5 years and really wanted to like this game. the grind to ships is insane long, and PvP action is frustrating. people sit outside ports and pick off new players. the map is repitious.
The game’s developers clearly give preferential treatment to their foreign friends who play the game. Even if you play the game according to its rules, you can still be punished simply for disagreeing with the developers’ close friends or making decisions that they don’t like. The developers are not honest or impartial when making decisions concerning the community; they consistently listen to and favor their close friends. You can be subjected to racist attacks within the game, but if you speak out against them, YOU may be the one who gets punished instead of the person making the attacks.
