Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

World of Horror is one of my favorite games of all time. It was before its official 1.0 release, it is now. Am I turned off by the recent expensive merch drops? Yeah, but I don't know if dev had anything to do with it since the publishers presumably have rights to license merch as much as him (point is none of us can really know what's going on behind the scenes). There are loose ends in the game that haven't been tied yet (in the sense that there's more mysteries/puzzles to solve that haven't been implemented yet). There is a "Scenarios" gamemode that hasn't been implemented either. However, if people weren't leaving negative reviews about it, I wouldn't have remembered. The game for what it is now feels like a finished game. The game is so clever with its secrets and puzzles, that it's impossible for it to not be a labor of love with its attention to detail. Now, I will admit that the dev is not good at communicating with us. He would disappear for awhile in the latter updates leading up to leaving early access without much notice. Now that I'm an adult with a job dealing with adult things, I empathize with the dev. I don't believe game development was even his main job. I was/am disappointed at the lack of updates that were hinted at, but that doesn't make World of Horror a bad game. To this day, I'm still discovering new secrets and getting achievement I've never gotten before. I'm still shocked how much content was added in the last update for 1.0 release. If you are new to World of Horror, don't look up guides that spoil any of the surprises. You'll eventually figure things out and defy the odds of RNG with great satisfaction. If you are wary, get it on sale, but I would personally pay $20 for all the joy this game has brought me. I recommend roping another friend in to experience it with you. I haven't played it with mods yet, but I've heard the modding community for this game is great. There are so many different way to play this game that I haven't even begun to fully explore, that I can't even begin to name them all. It's not a game for everyone, but it is a game for me.

I beat this 100% on switch but haven't done so on steam since I don't have time. There's a lot of people review bombing this game saying it's not "done" or that the dev is a money hungry loser who posted news of a merch launch after not saying anything for a long time about the next update. This game is done, there is more than enough content here to justify the price. The combat has a lot of layers to it, and you can customize your run quite a lot like in any other rouge-like. The music and atmosphere is unmatched to this day, and there's a constant tension to get through the run as the doom meter increases, and handicaps are added as you solve mysteries. As for other things, I don't think this game is very scary or horrifying despite the name. The Junji Ito inspiration is very clear, but I have always been somewhat disappointed at how far the game goes with it. Ito's work is known for being very unnerving, and while World of Horror has it's moments of that, there's a lot to be desired in it's enemies and story telling. It leaned more into the Lovecraft and existential dread as opposed to the things that make Ito's work memorable like body horror and anomalous local themes. I can recommend World Of Horror for it's execution of it's themes and fun gameplay. There is also workshop support, and there are people making custom mysteries and characters to play as. Even if the dev doesn't add anything else to it, there's already a strong foundation here.
WORLD OF HORROR is an absolutely astoundingly made point and click adventure horror roleplaying game. This game is built around individual self-contained playthroughs consisting of five different "mysteries" that must be solved, each corresponding to one of five keys that are used at the end of the playthrough to enter a locked lighthouse, in order to defeat one of several possible Old Gods that is threatening the town. You don't have forever to do this, however, as you have a strict time limit, the DOOMS meter. While playing through a mystery, any action you take, can either raise or lower the DOOMS level. Typically, actions like exploring more thoroughly, going home to rest, trying to recruit party members and others, will advance DOOMS each time you perform them. Going to a shop and buying a recovery item or a weapon will raise DOOMS. Therefore, every mystery, you need to be as efficient as possible while doing your detective work. If you don't have a weapon, it may be better to just suck up and try to find one later on, rather than wasting time early at the start, or vice versa. At the start of every run, you can play hand-crafted scenarios, where the character is already chosen, or, you can pick your own character (of which you can unlock some, or make or download custom ones), set your game seed and other variables. The interface may be daunting at first, and this is a type of game you will known before you even meet your first encounter whether you like it or not. However, I highly recommend sitting with it, and immersing yourself in this games world. The writing, art, and random encounter scenarios are insanely amazing. During your adventure, you have the entirety of the town you can explore. You can get side objectives that may reward you with a stat increase, or give you an extra item, although, you can also get side-tracked, lose extra DOOMS time, or get thrown into an instant killing scenario you aren't prepared for. WORLD OF HORROR truly feels like you are playing a pen and paper tabletop RPG, and it's amazing fun because of it. The soundtrack for this game is phenomenal. It's seriously some of the best chip music ever made, and really adds to the atmosphere of the areas you'll explore. The art is absolutely amazing, and is made in MS-Paint from what I've read. Blows my mind. It looks directly just like a PC-88 game, and this adds to the charm immensely. WORLD OF HORROR is damn near infinitely replayable. I have played this game every October since 2023 when it fully launched. Even if you aren't a great fan or older-style interface based Roleplaying games, WORLD OF HORROR belongs in your library for it's supreme atmosphere alone.
I think this game is spectacular doing something unique but the devs have neglected this game and the only communication we get is to vote for them at steam awards, empty promises and merch for expensive watches instead of... anything to expect for the game
Abandoned.
It was fun for a while sadly game is abandoned. Doesn't work on steam deck switch version is ass. Just an awesome concept left to rot
