Wolfenstein: The New Order

One of my new favorite games, and one that I won't forget anytime soon. Wolfenstein: The New Order is the first game in a series reboot of the original, pulling into the aspects of the idea "what if the Nazis won?" to an extreme degree. I found this to be unbelievably interesting, with so many cool moments and subtle things things throughout really showing just how much thought and effort went into this idea. You can really see the propaganda and push for it being everywhere, from things like loudspeaker voicelines, the set design, character moments, and nearly everything else. The gameplay itself is also VERY fun, and I love how it takes a more think-before-you-shoot idea rather than the guns blazing thing many boomer-shooter games do. The tight situations on many maps often push for stealth, especially on the hardest difficulty, and it was a nice change of pace that really heightened tension for me. Really amazing experience, and one definitely worth checking out, especially considering it goes on sale for 90% off quite often!

ID devs definately know what "Shoot and run" means. A lot of shooters take this fundamental without knowing how to deliver the pacing and end up beeing repetitive or boring despite beeing a Shoot and run. Wolfenstein is an absolutely well crafted game that follows this premise while beeing repetitive and addictive, it doesnt become boring, unlike the 95% of shooters. It reminds me a lot of Soldier of Fortune indeed , one of my childhood games
