Surprisingly there seem to still be active servers of people who play this game still. If you're interested in trying out this game you can still setup your own servers to try it out and learn the ropes. You can even setup a bot server apparently! It'd probably be more fun to play with real people though when the servers are active. Play if you want to experience some FPS WWII Arcade shenanigans.
Hey KCK_SnakeDuez remember me from 25 years ago? Run the set now! You ain't got nothing on me!

wolfenstein et é minha vida <3
A game I have nothing but love for when I was a teenager is still playable today.
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory stands as a legend in the history of tactical multiplayer first-person shooters (FPS). Originally developed by Splash Damage and id Software in 2003—starting as an expansion before being released for free—the game is now available on Steam as an enduring classic. It centers on objective-based tactical combat set in World War II between Axis and Allied forces, prioritizing solid teamwork and intense communication over selfish, "run-and-gun" individual play. The game’s enduring appeal lies in its highly functional class system and dynamic skill progression mechanics. Players choose from five distinct classes—such as the Engineer, who plants explosives and builds bridges, or the Medic, who heals teammates—with tactical actions directly boosting character skill levels during the match. This experience is further enhanced by iconic map designs that demand absolute synergy between classes, alongside a community-driven ecosystem that has produced thousands of custom maps and mods, keeping the game alive. However, as a product of the early 2000s, its visuals and user interface (UI) feel dated by modern standards. Newcomers may struggle to adapt to the lack of "iron sights" aiming mechanics and a steep learning curve, given the presence of veteran players who dominate the servers. Nevertheless, it comes highly recommended on Steam for fans of tactical FPS history who want to experience the essence of pure, addictive teamwork—all 100% free of charge and without microtransactions.
Online Wolf3d, this is a terrible idea, this game wouldn't even run when I booted the PC, it crashed immediately, a few tweaks, I got it going, but never could get into a game lobby. Not enabling PunkBuster for any reason either. Definitely uninstalled, and I will be removing this game from my Library. Wolf3d was a classic, this is garbage.
