Where Are My Mittens

Where Are My Mittens is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This 2D retro pixel platformer (ugh) has a charming theme about finding a lost cat, but it's really very poorly made, which undoubtedly lead to the games dismal failure. One other minor note that the developer also couldn't work out how to do control customisation, and that's also a problem, but given how bad the rest of the game is, does it matter? Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 8 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

В целом неплохо время убить. Только вот непонятно, дошел до рыжего кота, и вроде как конец, но ни титров ничего... Это так задумано или не доделано?)

Kayıp bir kedicik. Tehlikeli bir ortam. Kar yağıyor. Jason adında bir çocuğun Mittens adında bir kediyi aramasını konu alan sevimli bir bağımsız platform oyunu.

Controls are a bit weird, but i liked the game.

[h1]ジャンプとダッシュで子猫を探す2Dアクションゲーム[/h1] やることはPVで見られることが全てなので、気になった人はプレイすると良いと思う。どっかいっちゃった子猫を探して、雪の降るステージを進んでいく。操作は左右移動とジャンプ、ダッシュアイコンでのダッシュ（Eキー）とシンプル。短いゲームだが特殊なギミックが無いのでこれぐらいで良いのかも。リトライも優しく、全体的に優しい。
