Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It’s a short and cozy game that you can finish in under an hour. You play as Vivi, a girl who falls asleep on a train and wakes up in the afterlife, where she meets all kinds of friendly ghosts, including people, animals 🐶🐱, and even plants 🌿. Along the journey, you talk to different passengers to learn their stories and help comfort them before they reach their final destination, with a few more memorable characters like a baby, an old tree, and a cat that sits on your lap adding extra emotional depth. The gameplay stays very simple throughout, mostly side-scrolling with no major mechanics changes, so the focus is really on the story and conversations. While the dialogue can sometimes feel a bit clunky or overly direct, it doesn’t take away too much from the overall experience. The atmosphere is one of its strongest points, with soft visuals and music that set a gentle but slightly eerie tone from the very beginning. The soundtrack especially helps carry the emotional moments, making some scenes unexpectedly touching despite the simple presentation. There’s also a nice balance of humor scattered throughout, from quirky passenger comments to the chef’s funny lines, which helps break up the heavier themes about life and death. The only downside for me is that achievements do not pop up automatically, so you have to close the game to check if you earned them. I’m not sure if it’s just me or a problem with my computer. The achievements are easy, so getting them all is not a problem.
”eğer bir çiçeğin tamamen açmasını bile bekleyemiyorsan gerçek aşkı bulmayı nasıl umarsın?” oynadığınız zamana göre oyun hakkında düşünceleriniz farklılık gösterebilir, umarım doğru zamanda oynarsınız
Not... my favorite! A perfectly fine early game, but the story really didn't hit for me. Maybe it's because I'm a bit older? Kind of felt like some younger folks thoughts on death, which I'm not really interested in. The art is lovely though!
Playtime: 1.4 hrs (100% of achievements, game completed). Grindy achievement(s): None. Difficult achievement(s): None.
Overview
Despite promising a "heartwarming story," What Comes After never delivers the emotional depth its premise suggests. The conversations touch on meaningful topics, but don't explore them beyond a surface level.
Should you buy this game?
No — if you're looking for a visual novel with a compelling story and memorable characters. While the game has a wholesome message, its writing never left much of an emotional impact on me.

In-Depth Review
What Comes After follows Vivi, a girl who falls asleep on a train and wakes up aboard a train carrying souls to the afterlife. It's an intriguing premise that doesn't live up to its potential. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3752072411 The gameplay is simple: you walk through the train and talk to the passengers, people, animals, and even plants. Each conversation attempts to explore topics such as life, regret, acceptance, and death. Unfortunately, most of these interactions are so brief that they never have the chance to become meaningful. You learn very little about each passenger before moving on to the next, making it difficult to become emotionally invested. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3752072647 I really wanted to enjoy this game. Unfortunately, I found the writing too shallow for a visual novel that relies entirely on dialogue. While its message is undoubtedly well-intentioned, I never felt emotionally connected to Vivi or the people she meets, leaving the journey feeling hollow.
6/10 - really short. play time is over 90% afk to get all the steam cards + easy 100% +5$
It never feels like the game is trying to force some profound lesson on you. It just lets these little conversations pile up until the message becomes clear on its own: life is temporary, sometimes painful, often strange, and still worth participating in. A well executed game that's worth it's price.
A short and slow game about a lady who is sent to the afterlife where she interacts with various chatacters. These interactions help her understand life and also help her love herself. Would recomend to those who want to play a short game that is sorta emotional. Game has cute animals (hehe). The typing sound is annoying, ugh.
