"Warlock The Bounty Hunter" is a garbage GameMaker Studio 2D retro pixel side scroller. According to the developer, it's "a fast-paced, 2D action roguelike", which means the developer didn't bother creating any content and tried to use Procgen as a substitute. All you really do in this is side scroller shooting... the developer couldn't even work out how to make platforms to make this a platformer. Game development is hard, even if you have a crutch like GameMaker Studio to do all the work for you. What's the game about? This game is a fast-paced, 2D action roguelike. You play as a warlock tasked with completing bounties. The core gameplay involves fighting enemies and undertaking these repetitive bounty tasks in an endless run format, acquiring skills until your character eventually dies. It's a basic loop that lacks significant variation. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

no, game isn't even fun to start off, and it literally puts you at max level content at level 1 essentially is what this game is. fight hardest mobs in game, eventually figure out how to win a single level, congrats you leveled up to make the next run slightly less hard. Hard pass.
Takes some getting used to initially, but it's pretty fun.
i do NOT recommend this game at all. i have never tried so hard to make it to level two, LEVEL TWO!!!!!!!! the game clearly doesn't have any progressiveness in it, i honestly saw it and had high hopes for having a causal 2d magic game.
I don't know how anyone could get the bonus. That stuff is insanity. All in all a pretty fun game!
