One of the most interesting games available in VR today with a lot of potential! The flight physics are a bit tricky to master but the moment you are comfortable with this you are good to go. For people with a tendency for motion sickness this might not be the way to go, for it is truly an 'Am I up or down' experience. I like this experience, for it is without a doubt exactly what VR was meant for!
This game is a blast to play, whether you play by yourself and explore the mysterious and interesting locations the maps offers or have an awesome fight in the zero gravity arena with some friends! There are a lot of interesting and fun things to do, the VR experience is really awesome and easy to handle, and the other great thing this game offers now is the non-vr mode, where you can relax and sit, the experience changes so I'd recommend to try both!

"VR Jetpack Game" is a VR motion sickness simulator... just kidding, but this is definitely a case where you don't judge a book by its cover... this is horribly optimised, won't work on a lot of VR systems, and was abandoned by the developer in a fairly unplayable state. What do you do in the game? Well not much, you just sort of jump around in your jetpack, but there's no other players or anything. This is dead. The developers abandoned this 3 years and 3 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... it doesn't look completely awful but it's aged. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. So this is "free", but it's abandoned. Worse, it was never intended to be free. The developer intended to charge for this if it ever left Early Access... but the developer just couldn't be bothered. Making this abandoned pollution that gamers need to filter through when searching for products made by more ethical developers who fulfill their promise to deliver on their Early Access commitment instead of breaking that promise. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 11 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
(This looks like a cool game, and would love to find out how it plays. Sadly when i boot the game with my oculus rift, the guns float in front of me, and it's impossible to do anything (just screams "don't point down" in my eyes). Seems like an incompatibility with the headset. Hope this is fixed in the future so it can be played and i can set the review to positive.) THIS WAS THE OLD REVIEW! Now, after a lot of fiddling i figured out that if you grapple hook off the starting pillar you get past the first "don't point down" warning and the jet pack enables. This enabled one of the most immersive, (sickness inducing) and fun flight control i've tried in VR so far. If you have the stomach for it i'd highly reccomend giving this a go. Even if the multiplayer is not working (which it didn't in Norway) the singleplayer world has lots to show. (like damn, start climbing and prepare your booty for some sights) Kickass game!
I feel bad after this game... I'll vomit right now...
I don't like the controls, but it's really fun to fly around in VR.
One of the most amazing VR experiences if you're a fast learner or you put in the time to properly learn how the game works. Absolutely NOT for first time users of VR. This is an experience for people who have played hundreds of hours of VR titles that are fast paced and have joystick based locomotion. Meet those two criteria? Perfect. This game will blow your mind. You're essentially given a huge map to go around and use Iron Man's thrusters but with PROPER PHYSICS. That means the controls will be insanely unforgiving at first, and insanely rewarding when they eventually click. Aside from experiencing the closest thing to flight, this game doesn't have too much to offer.
Скучная карта, город внизу карту очень размытый, как и их наполнение, многие облака отрисовываются только на одном глазу, в общем мусор, а не игра
This game is a blast, little hard to play standing up though. As a quest 2 user I would love for the jet controls to use the grip buttons so I can adjust the power output no matter how far out my arms are. Can't wait for more content or even a few more bots/defenses to keep things interesting.
