Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 4 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Voodoo Fishin’ is a 1–6 player online co-op creepy-cozy fishing game featuring proximity voice chat and swamp-dwelling surprises.
Venture into the bayou with friends in search of rare and legendary fish. The deeper you go, the stranger things get.
Fish together. Laugh together. Try not to lose your haul. If you die, the swamp keeps your catch. (And any Tackle you have equipped)

Craft your puppet angler and hit the dock!

It’s chill… until it isn’t. This swamp hunts back.
If you make it back alive, the Fish Monger pays by the pound.

Upgrade your Bait, Reels, and Rods to chase bigger and rarer fish
The swamp doesn’t run on corporate servers. Voodoo Fishin’ is self-hosted, so once you’re in, you can always jump back in with friends. No server shutdowns. No “service discontinued.”
The swamp stays open as long as you can stay alive.
The demo provides access to the full core gameplay systems, but limits world exploration and higher-tier Tackle.

это круто.
Voodoo Fishin' is a game with a really fun idea, and a good framework to build off of. At it's core it's a game where you grab a few friends and hang out in the backdrop of a deep south mystical bayou while you catch some fish, unfortunately, at the moment that's all it is. Like I mentioned, Voodoo FIshin' has a great framework but at the moment the gameplay loop is so simple as to become boring very, very quickly. You find out what fish is on the quota board, grab a bait with the requirements for that fish, fish it, sell it repeat. This is fine as is, this is a tried and true formula, however that's literally all there is. There is no permanent progression aside from your rod setup, there is no skill tree that provides interesting or unique changes to your character that allow you to develop your own identity and playstyle. There is nothing to do with your money once you've had one good session and bought a good rod. There is no story at all, and as someone who is very gameplay first I gotta say this game, especially in this setting, would benefit greatly from some light story, especially if they lean into the deep south voodoo aesthetic (why am I here, is there a threat? Do I have any goal aside from aimlessly wandering and fishing up a slight variant of the last fish I snagged? etc.) This leads me to two last points, one being the complete lack of any questing system, another feature this game would benefit in a huge way from. The quota system is a good (but very oddly implemented, what do you mean I lose all progression every time I close the game??) but it needs more. I want to talk to some backwoods old voodoo grandma and collect fish for her potions, and I want to get a reward from her questline that lets me transform into a frog and swim in the bayou, again just an example of what I'm talking about with leaning into the aesthetic. This brings me to my last point, while I see no problem with the basic fishing loop, again, I need more. All of the fishing is identical, Cast your line, get a bite, wiggle your hook, and then reel it in while you move your mouse in the right direction. Every, single, time. Ultimately, Voodoo Fishin' is a cute little friend-slop game, good for all of a few hours of fun but I believe that the developers have a high ceiling with what they've created here. With a tightly focused plan, and listening VERY SELECTIVELY to community feedback as some of the design choices have been baffling (losing progression, the journal being only at base before they fixed that) I think this game can easily move out of the realm of "friend-slop" and into a go-to recommendation when someone is looking for a great fishing game they can play with friends. I'm not gonna assign random scores to various sections of the game and then give a completely unrelated score like so many of the barely literate troglodytes like to do on this platform. Instead I will say, if you're looking for a fun way to blow a few hours and are willing to wait a year or two on the gamble of the game ever being completed, ruined by bad design choices or maybe buying in early on a hidden gem, then go for it. However, if you are looking for anything nearing a feature complete package, even your typically feature light early access project I would suggest throwing the game on your wishlist and waiting a few years to see how things shake out. As of the time of writing I'll give this game a hopeful thumbs up as we've been seeing steady dev progress and community feedback being implemented. Good luck to the devs, we really need more good creative indies.
