This simple fishing game took me by surprise. You & up to 5 others go out onto the docks to fish, simple. Except, it never was that simple. This game offers an unbelievable amount of mystery, exploration, & even horror elements. Let’s dive into the nitty-gritty. The fishing mechanics are genuinely fun & engaging. It has a layer of complexity that isn’t overwhelming. You choose the right bait & locations to catch certain fish. Once they’re hooked, you’ll have to fight for it. Mechanics are super fun. You flick your mouse to cast, then play tug of war, carefully not letting the catch escape while not overloading tension which snaps your string. The game also offers punishments like losing lure if you fail to reel in a fish. Also, dying with your items held (keyword) makes you lose it, but game offers a second chance to get it back. The loop at the beginning is going to feel tedious & grindy, especially since you don’t know the rhythm. I promise, once it clicks, you’ll be able to catch higher tier fish consistently & progress to better gear. PS- The map is much, much bigger than you think. Explore & don’t stop.
