Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 4 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Venture into the bayou with friends in search of rare and legendary fish. The deeper you go, the stranger things get.
Fish together. Laugh together. Try not to lose your haul. If you die, the swamp keeps your catch. (And any Tackle you have equipped)

Craft your puppet angler and hit the dock!

It’s chill… until it isn’t. This swamp hunts back.
If you make it back alive, the Fish Monger pays by the pound.

The swamp doesn’t run on corporate servers. Voodoo Fishin’ is self-hosted, so once you’re in, you can always jump back in with friends. No server shutdowns. No “service discontinued.”
The swamp stays open as long as you can stay alive.
The demo provides access to the full core gameplay systems, but limits world exploration and higher-tier Tackle.

Good! It's so much fun, hope they add some kind of map soon because its a bit difficult to navigate, but other then that, fun!
The game has a lot of good qualities to it, and has a good premise but the current state it's in makes it hard for me to fully recommend to others. If there was a neutral review option I would have put it as that. The gameplay loop is fun but extremely punishing in far too many ways with very little to balance it out. I could understand some of these aspects to the game if it was labelled as anything other than a 'cozy' game. Usually when I play cozy games where you can upgrade gear I'm not expecting to constantly have the gear I worked for half an hour to obtain to be gone in a single cast. Using baits in new areas experimentally feels like too much of a risk, but not doing it keeps me stagnant in progression. The games style and atmosphere is beautiful, though a little dark in certain areas in my opinion. It can become tricky to see in some areas even with boosted brightness, leading to issues where I jump expecting to hit a ledge and would either just miss the ledge because I couldn't see where it stopped and started or there wouldn't be one at all. Which wouldn't be as bad if the game had some way of showing you the ways you had previously explored on the map but with nothing to remind you of the ways you've gone or what leads to where the entire map can quickly just start to feel like a maze of different pathways that all seem to lead to death. The base mechanics for the fishing are straight forward and easy to understand but it quickly becomes overwhelming when trying to exit the starter area. The first fish you catch have very low costs especially considering you can only haul so many of them around at a time and the lures, reels and rods you can buy are typically far more expensive. Trying to catch new fish can also become overwhelming as a starter especially since very little is actually explained about the fish. Finding area that match any of the requirements of the fish can feel like a challenge when the visual markers aren't well explained. Not to mention the kick in the teeth you get when you find out that even if you find an area that perfectly matches every single one of the fish's requirements that doesn't mean it's capable of spawning there. The entities are well done, though arguably hard to wrap your head around. I constantly found myself dying and not entirely knowing what killed me or why because I hadn't seen or heard the cues I was supposed to. The learn as you die mechanics are often fun but because of all of the other things you have to balance in order to progress it can feel very discouraging as a new player. I feel like the game would benefit heavily from a system that allowed players to 'unlock' information as they progressed. Like a map that would reveal more of itself as you explored different areas to prevent it from feeling like a congested mess. Or a journal tab that explain what the different requirements looked like visually to prevent some of the wandering that happens when you're trying to figure out different biomes so that people don't have to go to the discord just to find out what certain things look like. But overall in the state it's at right now, I would not be recommending this game to anyone who is actively looking for a cozy game.

First kind of proper review (if I remember right anyway), but I had bought this game for me, my partner, and my friend to all play together; We assumed it'd be a cozy semi-difficult fishing game with parkour and avoiding monsters, however I was extremely mistaken. I've tried to play this game a few times as a mix of on my own and with my partner alone, but we've just found in the span of 4 hours or so it's almost impossible to leave the starter area to find anything. The starter area however also makes it very difficult to progress at all and forces you to have to leave The Pier to go move into new areas, most of the starter fish don't cost enough to help you get better rods, bobbers, and reels - But the second you DO have enough funds to get a new rod, bobber, or reel you run the risk of losing it the second you go trying to catch newer and better fish from the other areas. I have very few issues with the monsters I've encountered, the crocodile you just walk away from, mosquitoes are the same way, peepers is just you avoid the area, etc. The one that I did have issues with WAS the ghost within the Spooky Gate area. If it spots you, you're toast in seconds. No time to react. Most of the time as well it's hard for me to be able to see anything in the main map; The fog makes it virtually impossible but does add to the atmosphere, but I shouldn't have to max out my brightness to be able to see anything on my screen. I'm able to play most horror games in darker settings, those are fine but it's different when you're expecting us to do parkour within a dark environment. You should be able to see different portions of the parkour without maxing out your brightness. Not to mention if you're out to go catch a new fish or anything, the cooler makes it even more difficult on top of that. Even if there was a inventory UI to tuck the cooler into at the bottom of the HUD would've been nicer so you can still view the parkour and your feet to ensure you're making those jumps. There's very few learning opportunities for the monsters, I will add though... Even if you die to something half the time you have no idea what came out of the water to kill you or grabbed you. There's no guides in-game explaining what every monster does, and even that could be remedied with the fact that you could have a tab in the journal for learning about the monsters. I like knowing what I'm up against, and it feels a little unfair to have the game be advertised as a "cozy horror fishing game" while throwing all these difficult mechanics at people to keep track of. The game may honestly benefit from something that just allows you to unlock new tips or tricks after every time you die to a monster, but even then I'm not 100% sure on how to execute that as I've never in my life made a game. It is fun if you're not intending to take the game seriously at all, but I wouldn't recommend the game to my other friends at the price it's at currently in the state the game is now.
Look if you want to be frustrated by extermly slow progression, no sense of direction and spend hours farming something to have it broken or lost within 1/24th of the time it took you to save for it. this game is for you! If you expect to keep progress, have fun or relax with friends, this game isn't for you or anyone you know. Devs Fix progression speed, make it so rods aren't lost on death (♥♥♥♥ off the bs enhcanting its too complex) add a insurance NPC or something. you're a fishing game, stay in your lane.
