Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 4 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Voodoo Fishin’ is a 1–6 player online co-op creepy-cozy fishing game featuring proximity voice chat and swamp-dwelling surprises.
Venture into the bayou with friends in search of rare and legendary fish. The deeper you go, the stranger things get.
Fish together. Laugh together. Try not to lose your haul. If you die, the swamp keeps your catch. (And any Tackle you have equipped)

Craft your puppet angler and hit the dock!

It’s chill… until it isn’t. This swamp hunts back.
If you make it back alive, the Fish Monger pays by the pound.

Upgrade your Bait, Reels, and Rods to chase bigger and rarer fish
The swamp doesn’t run on corporate servers. Voodoo Fishin’ is self-hosted, so once you’re in, you can always jump back in with friends. No server shutdowns. No “service discontinued.”
The swamp stays open as long as you can stay alive.
The demo provides access to the full core gameplay systems, but limits world exploration and higher-tier Tackle.

After spending 40 hours playing this game and catching over 1,000 fish, I’m ready to write my review. It was the best game in its genre until the developers ruined it; after the updates, I played it twice and then uninstalled it. The game turned into an endless, monotonous process of catching two fish (you catch two fish of the same species, and that’s it); you can cast your bait and catch the same two fish over and over again; the game turned into a repetitive cycle of “+2+2+2+2.” The developers could have simply added expensive refrigerators to the store, as well as lures (with a random number of prize fish), but no—they just ruined their own game.
I've played the demo before and now that I played (I mean, tried to) the full game, I can say that I am genuinely furious at how a game with such a great premise can have such an incredibly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ execution. The developers built a cool concept and then did everything in their power to make the actual experience of playing it an absolute nightmare. Here is why this game is an unmitigated disaster: 1 - Zero QoL / Blind Progression: There is absolutely no Quality of Life here. You are thrown completely blind into the game. No clarity, no proper guidance, just pure guesswork. 2 - Even Catching Trash is RNG-Gated: This is peak terrible game design. If you find a spot where your bait doesn't match the fish, the game doesn't even give you a consistent penalty. Instead, you enter a bizarre RNG roulette where you might pull up literal trash, or you might get absolutely nothing at all. It makes zero sense and completely breaks any logical game loop. 3 - Abusive, Garbage RNG: Progression shouldn't rely entirely on whether the game’s RNG decides to be generous today. Grinding for hours just hoping the right fish spawns is not "challenging," it's lazy and respects zero of the player's time. 4 - Broken Line Tension Mechanics: The fishing mechanic is fundamentally broken. If you pull, the line snaps. If you let go, the line snaps. There is no middle ground, no room for skill expression. The game just decides you are going to lose, and there’s nothing you can do about it. 5 - Unfair, Punitive RNG Events: To make matters worse, some random annoying monster spawns right in the middle of your reel-in to ruin everything. You can't even cut your losses because you just wasted a high-tier, expensive bait on a catch that the game’s broken physics won't let you land. To the developers: Congratulations, you had a brilliant idea and turned it into an unpolished, frustrating, unfair piece of garbage. Fix your broken tension mechanics and stop hiding behind RNG to simulate artificial difficulty. 0/10. Do not buy.

Fun chill fishing game. Has a lot of potential... Would like to see more "Depth" added to the game. The sense of progression is good but needs to be expanded upon.
Very different, was looking for something similar to webfishing and this was actually surprisingly fun to play. I love that i didn't realize how much i could actually explore until several hours into playing, and its super fun to grind to find that lure or rod that you need! Highly recommend
I played mostly during the early updates after release and I can confidently say I was kept very entertained for my first 8 or 9 hours of gameplay. After the initial wanderlust and exploration of the game's world and mechanic, I started getting more focused in my progress of seeing how much of the fish log I could fill. It was after the 12 hour mark that I felt I had exhausted all the game had to offer me. Still, I continued to log back in every now and again in the following weeks, as I found the gameplay and atmosphere to be relaxing. It was also a good game to play while listing to horror podcast. If you like fishing games (as well as parkour), this is definitely a quick and easy one to get into.
If there was a "Mixed" review option, that's what I would put. I think the reason I'm not the biggest fan of Voodoo Fishin' is that it wasn't how I thought it'd be. When I purchased this game, I was looking for a chill but exciting, linear fishing experience. You know, take a boat through the murky bayou, try to catch some rare fish, maybe a sea monster in the water that you want to try and catch. Voodoo Fishin' is, I wouldn't say hardcore, but far more difficult than that. Catching fish pays low, upgrades are expensive, and half of the upgrades you get don't even save. To get anywhere in the map, you have to do parkour, and the controls are pretty finicky. You also can't really tell what's "safe" to walk on or what'll kill you and send you back to the start. All in all, Voodoo Fishin' has parts that I really really like (the actual fishing is great) and parts that I really dislike. It's a very particular flavor of game. It's not relaxing but it's not exciting, and can be kind of demanding for not much of a reward. Maybe it's still worth a shot if you absolutely love how it looks, but I'm just not sure what to do with it.
I am a big fan of this game! I will say that it's definitely a grind, of finding the correct fishing spot, maybe creating lobby after lobby to find what you are looking for, or running around looting. HOWEVER, I have found that it is really fun. I love that the devs continue to make updates and there is such a supportive, fun community in their discord. I look forward to seeing what else the devs will have in store for the future of the game. I highly recommend at least giving this game a try. Thank you!
