Vladimir is a game in which I tried to convey my feelings about what is happening in my country right now. A personal vision of decline and dictatorship.

About
War is often remembered as a statistic of forces, wounded, and killed, but rarely as a tragedy of ordinary people and how they came to this point.
The game Vladimir is conceived as a project showing the problems faced by a citizen of the Russian Federation since the beginning of the war and Putin's politics. The main storytelling method consists of situations or sketches showing the "before/after," the absurdity of what is happening, and real-life incidents.
This product is planned as 2 hours of a narrative drama about an ordinary person who witnessed it all—their thoughts, changes in society, and the decisions they have to make.
You can expect both gameplay akin to the madness of boomer shooters, as well as environmental storytelling and changes in the world around you.

Не играл но круто
4/7/2026 Edit – Vladimir presents itself as a transformative work, one that confidently situates its ambitions alongside the likes of Hideo Kojima, Michael Kirkbride, and Hidetaka Miyazaki. The comparison is not incidental—it is, in many ways, the lens through which the experience is best understood. The player does not merely control a character; the game insists upon a deeper identification—you are not guiding Vladimir so much as inhabiting him. Each decision carries a calculated weight, evoking the deliberate, almost theatrical tension of Kojima’s storytelling, where every action feels entangled in something larger than itself. Mechanically, the experience recalls the demanding, consequence-driven structure associated with Miyazaki’s work. Progress is neither handed to the player nor clearly explained; instead, it is earned through persistence, interpretation, and a willingness to engage with systems that resist immediate clarity. Narratively and thematically, there are echoes of Kirkbride’s approach to worldbuilding—dense, layered, and often opaque, suggesting a depth that may exceed what is immediately visible. The game invites the player to search for meaning, whether that meaning is fully realized or merely implied. What ultimately distinguishes Vladimir is its unwavering commitment to this vision. It operates with a seriousness that mirrors the works it evokes, asking the player to navigate not only its mechanics, but its intent. At $0.99, it is difficult to argue that one has not received something of consequence—though whether that consequence is clarity, confusion, or something in between is left, quite deliberately, unresolved. This game is "where the cream is gonna rise".
