About
One student. One manipulative parrot. Zero common sense.
Cade was having a typical lousy day: cockroaches devoured his dinner, he was still a long way from his scholarship, and his last cigarette slipped from his fingers in a dark alley. That's where he stumbled upon a parrot cage with a sign reading "For Sale. Urgent. Cheap."
That's how Cade met Colonel Pixel, a grey parrot who calls everyone "palefaces," dreams of the winds of freedom, and loves nuts. He had to part with a limited-edition quantum physics textbook for the bird. And in return, a promise of a meeting with a mysterious billionaire gardener whose garden is filled with golden pineapples.
And so Cade sets off across the city (and out of town, and back again) in pursuit of a reward that seems too good to be true. What awaits you
A journey through a crazy city—from stinking back alleys and an underground casino in a concrete factory to a vibrant neighborhood with masked musicians.
Multiple endings—from absurd dead ends to the finale of the story. One wrong choice, and the Colonel dies of fright; you go to sleep in the dorm or are left with nothing.
Mini-games and choices: play rock-paper-scissors with a cheating parrot, try your luck at poker and blackjack against a lady with a robot hamster, bargain, wriggle, and decide whether to trust your feathered companion.
Dialogues worth playing for—the constant bickering between Cade and the Colonel, where it's hard to tell who's the bigger misunderstanding. Colorful encounters: the mad sailor Krueger, grumpy street types, a man in a tin can mask, a driver with a bear's head, and other inhabitants of this crazy city.
Who is this billionaire gardener? Do golden pineapples even exist? And what is Colonel Pixel hiding?
One way to find out is to trust a bird. Although that might be the worst idea of the day.

A funny and slightly absurd visual novel about a student whose ordinary life quickly turns into a series of awkward, funny and sometimes very life situations. The game will hook not with its scale, but with humor to raise our mood, because jokes, everyday chaos and strange acquaintances will haunt us during the entire passage. A great option for those looking for short, funny and slightly tube adventures.
Never Trade Your Textbooks For Parrots 🦜
🎓 I picked up this visual novel expecting a quick read and ended up completely invested in Cade's ridiculous journey. Watching a broke student trade a quantum physics textbook for a scammer parrot chasing golden pineapples is pure comedy gold. 🦜 The absolute highlight of Visual Novel: Beak and Claws is the sharp dialogue. Bickering with Colonel Pixel - a feathered con artist who calls everyone "palefaces" - had me laughing out loud. The quirky locals, like a driver with a bear's head, make this absurd world feel wonderfully alive. 🎲 It is not just reading, either. I genuinely enjoyed the mini-games: rock-paper-scissors against a cheating bird, high-stakes poker with a lady who owns a robot hamster, and tense bargaining scenes. Every choice feels meaningful, leading to some truly ridiculous endings you will want to see. 🎨 Just a heads-up: the developers openly disclosed that all artwork is AI-generated. If that does not bother you, the atmospheric sound design and witty writing easily carry the whole experience. ✅ Verdict: Highly Recommended! Grab it for the price of a coffee, embrace the everyday chaos, and let the parrot ruin your protagonist's life. 💯
The main thing in this game is the dialogues. They are lively, witty, and funny. The exchanges between Cade and Colonel Pixels are a separate art form. And there are also a lot of strange characters here: from a sailor to a driver with a bear’s head. It’s very colorful.
История голодного студента Кейда и манипулятора-попугая по имени Полковник Пиксель сочится иронией. Текст написан легко, читать диалоги этой парочки действительно весело.
A hungry and poor student tries to survive in this world with the help of a swindler's parrot and gets into all sorts of trouble. It reminds me of childhood quests, and I love that kind of thing. I recommend it!
